Who is eligible for this 30-Day Trial?
The 30-Day Trial is only available with new Mint Mobile activations. To get the
deal, your phone number must not have been associated with a Mint Mobile account
in the past 90 days. Please don't try to fool us with a fake number either; we
won't fall for that again.
Does my phone need to be unlocked to try the Trial?
It does. An unlocked phone from your current carrier is necessary. If you're not
sure if your phone is unlocked or locked, you can usually find that information
out from your current carrier.
What happens if I use all 10GB of data before the 30-Day Trial is over?
If you run out of high-speed data before your 30-Day Trial is over (presumably
from DMing all your friends about how great the service is), your data speeds
will be slowed. You'll still have unlimited talk & text until the trial is up.
If you want more data and you're ready to switch to Mint, you can purchase a
full plan in the Mint Mobile app at any time during the trial.
Can I switch to an eSIM when I buy a full plan, even if I used a physical SIM
card for the 30-Day Trial?
You sure can. You can switch to an eSIM in the Mint Mobile app in minutes, as
long as your phone is eSIM-compatible.
Can I transfer my number over for the 30-Day Trial?
No, but you can transfer your number to Mint when you're ready to purchase a
full plan.
What if I try to activate my 30-Day Trial SIM card after the promo is over?
You will still be able to activate the SIM card but it will be for our
already-awesome 7-Day Trial, which includes 250 minutes of talk, 250 text
messages and 250MB of high-speed data. eSIM trials must be activated by 11:59pm
PST on 2/13/2023 to receive the full 30-day trial. Physical SIM cards must be
activated by 11:59pm PST on 3/1/2023 to receive the full 30-day trial.
If I already did the 7-Day Trial can I still get the 30-Day Trial?
Sure. Our trial experiences are limited to two per customer so if you only used
one 7-Day Trial you can still try the 30-Day Trial, too.
Can I add more data to my 30-Day Trial?
Unfortunately, no. But if 10GB isn't enough, we have 15GB and Unlimited plans
you can choose from when you're ready to officially switch to Mint and get a
full plan.
How do I get Premium Wireless for $0/month?
By downloading the Mint Mobile app and clicking "Get your 30-day free trial"
between February 6, 2023 and February 13, 2023. Your trial must be activated by
March 1, 2023.
Why are you giving away wireless service?
We believe everyone deserves affordable premium wireless, but a lot of people
still don't believe that wireless service can be good for just $15/month. So
we're giving it away, because we know that trying is believing.
Can I activate the 30-Day Trial on a desktop?
Unfortunately, no. The 30-Day Trial can only be activated through our app, which
will allow you to activate via eSIM right away (or order a physical SIM card),
track your usage in real time throughout the trial period and upgrade to a full
plan if you decide to stick with Mint.
Do I have to download the Mint Mobile app?
Yes. The 30-Day Trial is only available in the Mint Mobile app, where you can
immediately begin activation with eSIM or order a physical SIM card. Once your
trial is active, you can keep track of your usage in the app dashboard. Then
when you're ready to switch to Mint Mobile full-time, you can upgrade to a full
plan and manage your account in the app too.
Will Mint charge my credit card for a full plan when my 30-Day Trial is over?
Heck no, and frankly it's mind-boggling that other companies still pull that
stuff. We won't charge your credit card until you decide to stick with Mint
Mobile and purchase a full plan. Your 30-Day Trial will just end 30 days after
you activate and that'll be that. We mean it when we say no commitmint.
The Mint Mobile app asked me to turn on location services to get the 30-Day
Trial. Do I really have to?
Yes. Before you can activate your awesome 30-Day Trial, we need access to your
location to ensure your coverage is awesome too.
Can I do the 30-Day Trial with an eSIM?
Absolutely. We encourage anyone with an eSIM-compatible unlocked phone to
activate with eSIM.
What will my price be after the 30-Day Trial?
It depends on the plan you choose. We offer our service in 3-, 6- and 12-month
plans. You can take advantage of our 3-month New Customer Offers, starting at
$15/month. Or go right into a 12-month plan and say goodbye to wireless bills
for a whole year.
Do I have to wait until my trial is over to buy a full plan?
Nope. Once you've seen enough and are ready to switch to Mint, you can upgrade
to a full plan in the app any time during the 30-Day Trial. When purchasing a
full plan, you can keep the phone number we gave you for the 30-Day Trial or
bring your own number from your current carrier. Just remember, if you want to
transfer in your old number, it needs to be active. We know you're excited to
kick big wireless to the curb, but don't cancel your service with your current
carrier until you have an active Mint plan.
Where do I sign up for this 30-Day Trial?
You can sign up for the 30-Day Trial in the Mint Mobile app. If you have an
eSIM-compatible phone, you can be up and running on our network in minutes.
Otherwise, we'll ship you a physical SIM card at no extra cost.
