LIBRARY SOLUTION

Libraries are also repositories and access points for Books, documents,
audiotapes, CDs, cassettes, videotapes, and DVDs. Libraries have materials
placed in a specified hierarchy according to a library category structure so
that items may be found quickly and collections may be scanned efficiently.
Primary tasks in library management include the planning of acquisitions of
materials, placing the received materials according to the library category,
protection of materials the deaccessioning of materials, customer borrowing of
materials, and maintaining and administering library computer systems.

INVENTORY CHECK USING HANDHELD READER

The task of determining misplaced books can be controlled using a handheld RFID
reader by sweeping the reader across the ranges of the books, CD’s, Videos on
the shelves.

RFID GATE SYSTEM

RFID readers are installed at the exit gates of the library. As the user passes
via the exit gate the system reads the tags in the books in the user’s carrying
bag and cross-verified with the library database that the items have been
checked out.

SELF SERVE STATION/ SELF CHECK-IN/CHECKOUT

Members simply put their ID card on the RFID reader and then login to a Self
Serve Station to borrow materials, scan the library, review their record, return
materials, reserve an item that is presently given to other members.
