The CSCS card provides proof that cardholders have the necessary trade related qualifications and training to work safely in the industry. The card is valid for five years and must be renewed in order to stay valid. In order to obtain a CSCS card, cardholders must pass a Health, Safety and Environmental Test, as well as a trade test relevant to the industry. The CSCS card is accepted by all major construction companies and is a requirement for most construction sites in the UK. Here are the available cards in construction industry to choose from. The test is conducted by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. The questions are designed to assess the candidate’s knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry. The test must be completed in 45 minutes and the passing score is 90%. Individuals who pass the test will be issued a CSCS Card which is valid for five years.
