We had an amazing stay at The Aviary! The house was so clean and such care was
taken in designing this home and all the special touches. The kids had a blast
in the kids room with all the toys and and games provided! The reading nook was
so cute! We loved having coffee on the deck and swinging on the big bed swing
listening to the birds. The screened in porch with the fireplace was heaven with
a good book and glass of wine in the evening.

Every detail seems to have been anticipated and the house was immaculate upon
our arrival. The Aviary is located within the resort so that any activity was
never more than a few minutes drive. The kids had a blast with all of the
offerings of Massanutten, from the zip lines, to horseback riding, to tubing
down the Shenandoah River. I spent most of my time at the house, never tiring of
the magnificent views and peacefulness of the wooded surroundings. The Aviary
was good for my soul. I look forward to returning.

We travelled 6 hours to this amazing mountain retreat. This house is super kid
friendly with wonderful touches like a bunch of books for bedtime reading, board
games, play station, a kids only nook, and a little girls doll playhouse. The
kitchen is fully stocked and we enjoyed nearly all of our meals at this home and
went out to explore during the day— Kid friendly hikes, caverns, golf, water
park, pool and many options we didn’t get to like zip lining, tubing,
playgrounds and putt putt. Very clean and well kept.

As soon as we pulled up to the house, my immediate reaction was "Wow, this is
just beautiful." The house is beautiful and the setting is just perfect. Inside
the house was just as great. The rooms are spacious and the owners have a knack
for decorating. It was such a functional layout. I wish that I could buy this
house and live there permanently. My kids did too. They didn't want to leave.

What time is check-in and check-out?


Check-in is after 4 p.m., and check-out is before 11 a.m. Guests are welcome to
enjoy resort activities should you arrive early or stay after your stay.

What is the cancellation policy?


Ninety-seven percent (97.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded by
owner if the cancellation is made more than 90 days prior to the arrival date of
the reservation (3% is retained for the credit card transaction fee). Guests are
encouraged to purchase Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) trip insurance so that they
can seek up to 100% reimbursement in case they need to change their plans after
booking.

Do you allow pets?


Unfortunately none of our properties allow pets. 

What kind of payments do you allow?


We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover and
American Express. 

Do you have homes elsewhere?


Guests are invited to visit our sister ski in/out properties in the beautiful
Snowshoe Resort (WV).  Snowshoe offers 257 acres of skiable terrain, 1500
vertical feet, 60 trails, as well as snowmobiles, tubing, and more. The summer
finds guests enjoying mountain biking, golf, lake activities, and more. To learn
