   This is truly top-notch service! I feel very grateful and lucky to work with
   Home Upgrade Specialist. We are definitely going to use them every time in
   the future and recommend them to all of my family + friends.  
   
   On day three of the heat-wave, our AC unit made a loud noise and then stopped
   working. I got on Yelp to find a local AC repair company and was able to get
   an appointment the NEXT MORNING at my home near Crescent Heights and Melrose
   90048! Home Upgrade Specialist sent me a detailed text message right away
   confirming the appointment.  It also included a picture of our technician -
   total rockstar Ray!  Ray was on time, super friendly and respectful,
   efficient, had all of his tools, and communicated the issues very clearly.
    He filled up the coolant in the AC for the back-house and told us there was
   a small leak, which is why the system never seemed to work properly.  We have
   had three other companies come out and all of them did not notice this
   problem. For our main house, Ray got up on the roof and determined the AC fan
   was broken and not pushing cold air down through the house.  If the part was
   available, he told us he could come back later that evening.  The part came
   through the next morning and Ray was back first thing to replace the broken
   fan. Upon further inspection, Ray identified that a previous technician (from
   a different company a few months ago) messed up the wiring which kept the
   unit ON CONSTANTLY - crazy.  So my AC was running 24/7 even when we thought
   it was off.  Because of this we also needed a new capacitor because the old
   one was toast.  The NEST thermostat also was affected but Ray was able to
   install a NEW ONE for free because there is a program through LADWP.  
   
   Ray spent 2.5 hours installing all of the parts.  He is a great guy and Army
   veteran (In Iraq, he was in 120+ heat wearing all of his army gear!). Ray
   could not have been nicer.  If you have any heating or cooling issues THIS IS
   THE COMPANY and RAY is your dude!

   I am downgrading my review. I had called this company again to do maintenance
   on my unit. They offered some free govt program so I said sure. Now a month
   later unit stopped cooling. Called the company and their new policy is an 89
   dollar charge extra, even if they come and do work unless the work is 300 or
   more. An add on of 89? I can understand if I call them but don't use them
   Once they're here, but not a tack on of 89 bucks for nothing. Looking for
   another company.

   Of course my air conditioning stopped during a heat wave. Based on reviews, I
   called this company. They were very responsive and booked an appointment
   right away.  I was a little taken back when this young guy in his own car
   drove up. However, Elia was knowledgeable, professional, respectful of me and
   my home, and super nice. He found the problem ( condenser) and fixed it
   quickly.  The price seemed to be in line with the service.  Great company and
   I would not hesitate to call again and recommend.

   Wow! I'm so shocked and impressed! I signed up for an efficiency tune up via
   LADWP. I was sure there would be lots of upselling but was just happy to have
   someone come out to look at my units who had good reviews because it had been
   on my "to-do" list for a while. There was no upselling at all, the entire
   service was actually paid by LADWP! Elia came out and was very knowledgeable
   and professional. He spent a long time carefully evaluating  and tuning up my
   two HVAC units both in the attics and the condensers outside. I actually did
   receive two nest thermostats free of charge and installed/set up. Went out of
   town for a few days and the app automatically shut my units to eco mode while
   I was away. I have greatly increased piece of mind knowing my HVAC systems
   are in good working order and running as efficiently as possible. Thank you

   Called to get my air conditioner repaired, was able to get a tech to come out
   within two days.  Eventually, due to some scheduling changes, I ended getting
   someone within a day!  ELIA is amazing and super helpful.  He is
   knowledgeable, experienced, and personable.  It has been a great experience
   having called the company, and then getting a tech that resolved my problem
   within a day.  I am super pleased with their services and request ELIA!!!

   After purchasing our new home we had issues with the heating unit so I called
   them and they were able to service our three AC heater unit and we recently
   had a flood that damage part of the furnace and some ducks he came out spend
   a few hours repairing everything the ducks the wiring the was a professional
   and respectable. So they still haven't fixed the drain pipe and wiring but i
   applaud them for their determination and following up on their work until
   they completely fix it and I definitely recommend working with this company

   I had an HVAC system installed and it's been issue after issue and it's still
   not been completely resolved. During quoting I was told with confidence the
   ducting would fit between the roof and ceiling of my home. It didn't.
   External ducting adding a good more to the total. I feel like a simple
   measurement could have avoided this unexpected piece. There was some
   imperfections where the vent was in my kitchen, but it was fine otherwise
   after completion.
   
   The much worse parts came after the installation. Once summer came and the AC
   was being used more, the downstairs had built up water damage that we
   eventually learned came from the HVAC drainage that was piped down an
   existing old pipe in the building that was no good. This building was built
   in 1925 and they should have checked before using it. This required a home
   insurance claim to get the water damaged fixed and they temporarily moved the
   drainage to just drain directly onto the roof. I've repeatedly called them
   and they still haven't come back to fully address where the water should
   drain. This is a flat top white roof and the water draining onto the roof is
   not a long term solution.
   
   As if that wasn't bad enough, during the first heavy rain after installation
   I woke up to multiple water leaks coming from the ceiling where the vents
   were. At least they came that day to seal it, but now there's this ugly black
   seal around the ducts on the white roof. It would have been nice if they
   painted it white, but at this point, I'm just too frustrated to call them
   about it since I'm already waiting for them to deal with the draining.

   This company is very unprofessional they have made an appointment with me and
   didn't show up so we rescheduled they said when we met that they will be
   doing work that they never did they lied to me I would NOT use this company
   they will take your money and time I absolutely don't recommend this company
   it's just a shame that they are even in the business

   Solar Panel Installation. After getting two bids from other Solar Panel
   installers, I decided to go with Home Upgrade Specialist primarily because
   they offered a very fair price, answered all of my questions, and did so in a
   timely manner. They acted as the contractor for the actual installer for a
   new roof, as well as the SunPower system and panels, and kept me informed of
   the process each step of the way. The entire installation process took two
   days, and everything is up and running smoothly, with the app on my phone
   showing me how much energy my new panels are providing, and how much is going
   back to the grid. I'm very satisfied with the job they did.
   As with all contracts, be sure to go over things carefully. As a busy office
   there were a few errors made that I was able to get corrected. These
   corrections were made with their apologies.

   We purchased a new house in West Hollywood and we needed to do a complete
   remodeling. Kitchen, bathroom,flooring and New heating and air conditioning
   system. We interview 6 companies and we choose Home Upgrade Specialist.
    Nitai was a great professional man to work with. They helped us getting
   rebate ($6,600!!!) from the utilities company.
   The kitchen and bathrooms looks beautiful! The whole process was smooth and
   super professional. Even though the price was not the cheapest we don't
   regret making this choice.
   We received 3D design prior to starting work and its matches exactly like the
   design!
   We convert our HVAC system to heat pump and upgrade our electrical panel
   (check Tech Clean CA rebate program we got through them the $6,600 rebate)
