THE TRUGARD STORY
They started using the shower waterproofing system on every home they built, and
they loved everything about the other shower waterproof systems, that is...
everything except for the price. The superior shower waterproof system was quite
expensive compared to what they had previously been spending, so they had to
raise prices on their homes, which made them less competitive with other
builders who were using the older, less expensive, shower installation system.
So they decided to look to see if there were other companies that were making
the same similar system, but at a more affordable price. They did find several
companies that produced a similar system, but they were not priced much lower
than the name brand prices.
That's when Ryan suggested that Matt look into creating an affordable similar
tile shower waterproof system because, one of Matt's proven strengths in
business was efficiency. Ryan also knew that Matt's commitment to extremely high
quality was important. After an extensive study, Matt and Ryan found that the
venture appeared to be feasible to bring the superior state-of-the-art
polyethylene shower waterproof system to the marketplace so that even smaller
affordable homes could be protected from leaking showers and water damage.
The results of the extensive feasibility study proved to the brothers that the

Everything delivered on time. All materials were applied as advertised and
finished work was great. Had to pay attention to work the membrane on the walls
and floor correctly as to make sure the mortar did not dry out before done and
also making sure you properly removed excess. Had to do the work to get a

xtra corner seals which I did not need. It was very easy to return unused
material. Did underestimate the amount of wall/floor membrane I needed and had
to get some extra for my project. Videos were very helpful to apply products
properly. Had to re glue the membrane around around the floor drain again before
tiling as the sealant did not completely attach the membrane to the floor the
first time the two rows of sealant was put down before the membrane. Overall,
things went fairly well using this system with one minor hic up with the
