I always ask my families, why they chose to have a session.
Like, why now? What spurred you into action?

What motivates us to act, finally, maybe after lots of consideration?

Some of the answers have been:

*Gifts for loved ones far away.

*Celebrating a challenging year.

* Creating something beautiful out of the struggles and chaos.

*A way to remember this time, this age, this moment; forever.

*Taking the time to stop and notice the blessings around us and the simple joy
of being together.

MOTHERHOOD IS CRAZY! AM I RIGHT?

 

I have had 4 babies, coupled with 4 bouts of post-natal depression. I cannot
remember the details of their smallness, I was not able to pause and notice; the
blur and mental pain has clouded much of it.



I didn't know how to take nice photos, and if I had, I wouldn't have been able
to rouse myself to do it. There is a grief I feel around these "lost"
opportunities and I am grateful that there will be many more moments to catch.

But, I want to catch these moments for people; really "see" the rawness of
parenthood and childhood; completely natural and as is.



It is my job to remind you, that you are worthy and valuable. You ARE a capable
parent, partner, person. You can do it, you are doing it and you will keep on
doing it. You are having a massive impact.
