MATERIALS ARENA 2025 WELCOMES YOU

CHEMISTRY IS INDEED EVERYWHERE!

Dear Materials Arena attendants, it is an honour and pleasure to write a few
welcome notes. Novel lightweight sandwich structures have increasingly found
their applications in aerospace, automotive, marine and wind energy industries.
However, sandwich structures are usually subjected to projectile impact and
blast. Therefore, it is vital to enhance their energy absorption to mitigate
such loading conditions. Here, we have developed various sandwich structures to
resist quasi-static compression, impact and blast loadings, which include carbon
fibre or glass fibre tube reinforced foam core sandwich structures, corrugated
sandwich structures, carbon fibre lattice core and SLM lattice core sandwich
structures, carbon fibre or glass fibre composite contour core sandwich, thick
carbon fibre stitched foam core sandwich structures. Be part of the future. Be

be held from Feb 27, 28, and March 1, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand. Materials
