TRANSGENDER AWARENESS AND INCLUSION

Throughout the workshop, you will explore transgender from biological, social,
and historical viewpoints, delve into the experiences of trans lives, and

learn about trans language, including pronouns and practical tips for engaging
with transgender people, and review transgender history and the law, including
the Gender Recognition Act and Equality Act. By the end of the workshop, you
will have gained greater insight into the transgender community, the issues they
face, and practical skills to promote inclusivity and support transgender
colleagues. Apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the workshop to

community? Do you want to promote a supportive and inclusive working culture?

Transgender rights have become a significant political issue, but the community
remains poorly understood and often subject to misgendering, misinformation, and
stereotypes.

Join our CPD-accredited online workshop designed to help individuals and
organisations in the public, private, social purpose, voluntary, and community
sectors improve the services and support delivered to transgender people and
create inclusive workplaces.

How many CPD points are awarded for this course?

For undertaking our Transgender Awareness and Inclusion, you will receive 6CPD
Points. Once you have completed this course a certificate will be emailed to
you.

How are CPD points calculated?

As a rule of thumb, one hour of professional development equates to 1 x CPD
point. When calculating CPD for our events or courses, we exclude lunch and
other breaks from these calculations. Administrative activities, such as
registration, are also deducted. So, a full-day event or course lasting from 9am
to 4pm will typically count for 5.5 hours or 5.5 x CPD points (allowing for 2.5
hours of breaks including lunch).

Where the programme includes networking opportunities, this attracts
self-directed CPD at rate of 50%. For example, one hour of networking earns 0.5
CPD points. In the example above, the total CPD points for the event or course
is 6 x CPD points (5.5 guided learning points, plus 0.5 self-directed points).
