info@fccaustralia.com.au * Home * Membership * Events * Resources * Gallery * About Us * Get in Touch WELCOME TO FCC AUSTRALIA Families with Children from China – Australia (FCC-A) was incorporated in 2004 to address the needs of adoptive families and children from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan in a supportive, friendly and family-oriented manner. FCC-A is the only national parent group that acts solely for families who have adopted, or are in the process of adopting, children of Chinese ethnicity. FCC-A is non-denominational. A Bilateral Agreement on Intercountry Adoption between the People’s Republic of China and Australia was signed in 1999. Since the first babies came home from China in September 2000, over 700 children have joined Australian families. Our children enjoy a common cultural heritage and our group strives to keep our children connected to the countries of their birth and to each other. As parents, we also draw great strength from the friendships with like-minded people who share our adoption experiences. Members have access to a dedicated Facebook page, occasional film showings, guest speakers, family get-togethers and biannual gathering called Ju Hui, usually attended by families from all over Australia. Many of our families meet informally through the year in smaller groups in each state.
