New York City is home to four zip codes with the highest typical home value in the United States, according to Zillow, which put together a list of the top 150. The data, from March, includes home values for newly constructed and older properties that have and have not been listed for sale, according to our sister site, NJ.com. All four of New York City’s top zip codes can be found in Manhattan. First is New York City was the zip code 10013 in Lower Manhattan. The area, which came in at No. 33 on the top 150 list, has a typical home value of $3,305,546. At No. 48 overall was the zip code 10007, where the typical home value is $2,990,608. Coming in at No. 78 is zip code 10012, where the typical home value is $2,451,684. Rounding out the four New York City zip codes at No. 100 is 10282, where the typical value is $2,216,902. Other zip codes from around the state that made the list were 11962 (Sagaponack) at No. 4 with a typical home value of $5,371,206; 11976 (Water Mill) at No. 9 with a typical home value of $4,390,489, and 11932 (Bridgehampton) at No. 22 with a typical home value of $3,914,107. In New Jersey, the towns of Deal, Alpine and Avalon down the Jersey Shore all made the list with typical home values over $1.9 million, according to NJ.com. John Natale, the owner of Natale Realtors in Wall Township, N.J., said that many Jersey Shore towns made the list because more wealthy people are buying there. “There’s a lot of very wealthy New Yorkers that have now established themselves and bought summer homes down here at the Shore rather than the Hamptons,” Natale said.
