In a letter to Director of Long Beach Public Works Department, Eric Lopez, dated June 6th, 2021, Mr. Ovalle brings many issues to light. An example of the details include his PRA (Public Records Act) request(s) which were returned "There are no records available.", when their very existence depends on Public Works department's prior statements (such as "A certified arborist oversees all tree removals in order to align with all applicable policies and procedures.") This means either there was actually no arborist, or their "certified arborist" created no written records! Either way, this is a travesty, the likes of which we have unfortunately come to expect from this city.
