Get to know Kristina Cottrell! Kristina serves as a major market sales executive
managing our South Central U.S. clients at EPAY Systems. In this role, she works
with a team of subject-matter experts who help executives solve time-keeping
issues to ensure their employees are paid accurately and so tax issues are
handled properly. She began her career at EPAY in August 2021, and has quickly
become one of the most highly regarded account managers in the organization. In
this role, she works with current EPAY clients to understand their needs and
help them understand other ways EPAY’s solutions can help them streamline
processes and reduce costs. She’s always looking for new ways to grow their
relationship, and customers and colleagues rave about her ability to connect
with people and provide valuable business insights. Based in the greater Houston
area, working for EPAY has taught Kristina a lot of valuable lessons for which
she is forever grateful. “Time is something you do not get back, and spending it
in the right places amplifies results. But you have to spend the right amount of
time in the right areas or else the results will be highly disappointing.”
Kristina’s favorite part about working at EPAY is that she gets to “connect with
different executives everyday in different businesses and learn and understand
how they run their organizations. I am constantly learning, and I love it! No
day is ever the same.” In her spare time, you’ll likely find her spending most
of her time with her husband, Frank, and 3-year-old son, Charlie. When they’re
not binge-watching movies, you might find them kicking a soccer ball around in
their backyard, jumping in a bounce house for hours, going for long walks around
their neighborhood or even throwing a dance party! Kristina is also a fitness
junkie. She works out six or seven days a week doing a combination of cycling
and/or power walking with weights on each leg. EPAY is so lucky to have such a
charismatic team leader on our team who truly exemplifies EPAY’s core values:
CARE–Character, Accountability, Resolve and Empathy.

Get to know Jeremy Fullmer, FPC! Jeremy is a solutions consultant at EPAY. In
his role, he prepares and demonstrates the software to clients, essentially
showing off the product. He collaborates closely with the sales representatives,
continuously working toward creating better sales processes. Based in the
Chicagoland area, Jeremy has worked at EPAY for 5½ years now—but he’s used the
EPAY platform for close to 10! Now, almost six years later, he is still loving
the dynamics of his role, particularly working with the sales team. He loves the
energy they bring to the table, and being on the go keeps things interesting.
Before EPAY, Jeremy mainly worked in Operations. He describes his previous roles
in Ops as more analytical, and while he enjoyed it, he now prefers the
excitement of helping customers learn more about EPAY’s products and how they
can help their business. Working in sales can be a fun run, but it also has its
obstacles. Jeremy notes a few different challenges he faces in his role, and the
majority of them are client-focused. “Fully understanding client and prospect
needs is a difficult task,” he admits. “Especially when their pain points are
constantly changing.” Jeremy likes to handle situations like this by solving
problems before they exist. How? By tailoring to the client experience.
Continuous follow-ups with clients are essential and consistent communication is
key. It’s all about making sure everyone is on the same page. “Being prepared is
how we solve problems of changing pain points and changing expectations.” Jeremy
also recently participated in the on-demand webinar, “How to Combat Time Theft
for the Hourly Workforce,” which will be posted soon. Keep an eye out! When
Jeremy isn’t diligently problem-solving and winning sales deals at EPAY, his
favorite thing to do is play with his 1-year-old son, Jack. “He’s a cute kid,”
he says. “He’s so enamored with us, and it’s so fun to watch him learn new
things.” We are lucky to have someone as dedicated and talented as Jeremy on our
team at EPAY. He is a true example that hard work doesn’t go unnoticed! Jeremy

Did you know that 70 million Americans have a criminal record? This can have a
significant negative impact on their ability to secure a job.  It has been just
over a year since New York City’s #FairChanceAct (FCA) expanded its existing
employment protections for applicants with a criminal record. Even if your

Quiet quitting is a concept that a startling number of U.S. workers appear to
have embraced. Rather than formally resigning, these workers are still clocking
in and collecting a paycheck—while doing the bare minimum required by their job
descriptions. It’s like an extension of the Great Resignation, except these
workers have only moved on in their heads.  No extra effort. No problem-solving.
No passion for the job or the company’s bottom line. Not surprisingly, quiet
quitting is depressing productivity as well as morale and innovation.  It’s a
topic of great concern for many HR professionals and frontline managers right
now although they’re not immune to it, either.  Needless to say, employers
