FIND US ON SOCIAL MEDIA -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PURPOSE Unity Volleyball Club is a junior volleyball program in the middle Tennessee area, dedicated to the development of our young athletes, in technical, strategic, mental, and physical areas. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MISSION Instill a love of the game of volleyball Develop teamwork and cooperation skills Improve volleyball skills and develop competitive athletes who are determined to achieve their goals -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT IS UNITY VOLLEYBALL CLUB? Club volleyball is about growing and learning in a competitive environment. Members of a club team will advance in skills and knowledge, while building teamwork skills, confidence, and a determination to succeed. The age ranges offered with Unity Volleyball Club are young ladies, ages 12 - 17. The teams will be divided after selections are made at tryouts. Practices will begin in late November/early December. Practices will be 2-3 times per week, depending on the team. Tournaments will be 1-2 day events, potentially resulting in 2-3 weekends a month from January to April. Unity Volleyball Club is a member of the SRVA program. It is important to understand that there will be a cost to playing club volleyball. Not only are we getting 4-5 months of extra experience on the court, we will be entering tournaments and purchasing uniforms and equipment. All payments will be submitted online. More information is given regarding payments after the athlete accepts an invitation to join the club team. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REGISTRATION AND TRYOUT INFORMATION The Southern Region Volleyball Association is one of the 40 regions of USA Volleyball. When you register for a membership with Southern Region, you also become a member of USA Volleyball. You must be a currently registered member to participate in Southern Region and USA Volleyball events. A tryout membership must be purchased in order to participate in tryouts. The cost of this membership is $10. After a player accepts a team offer and roster position, this tryout membership will be upgraded to a full membership at an additional cost of $50. TRYOUTS for the 2023-2024 season will be November 4th, 2023. Times TBD, but will be separate for 12-14U and 15-17U.
