This exciting event brings together rural health peers throughout Texas to discuss rural health issues and solutions. An array of speakers from rural hospitals, clinics, and organizations across Texas will provide valuable insights and unique solutions to problems identified in the Healthy Rural People 2030 initiative. Nedderman Drive, Arlington, TX 76019 Attendees learned more about UTA’s Center for Rural Health and Nursing, network, and got to know their peers in rural health care. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24 Rural Health Conference | Rio Grande and Carlisle | 8 am. – 5 p.m. The University of Texas at Arlington | University Center 300 W. First Street, Arlington, TX 76019 The conference seeks to bring awareness to the identified issues of the Healthy Rural People 2030 initiative and provide solutions within the state of Texas. We will have speakers from rural hospitals, clinics, and organizations. The hotel is right next to the new Rangers stadium in a prime location here in Arlington, TX. The room rate is $269 per night. Texas Center for Nursing Workforce Studies (2019) estimated that there will be a deficit of 59,970 RN FTEs by 2030. Our goal is to work to combat these issues during our conference time and create unique ideas to bring equitable healthcare to our rural communities. UNIQUE AGENDA Our agenda includes speakers from around the country working in different areas of rural health care. As this year’s theme is focused on the Healthy Rural People 2030 Initiative, our speakers will be from a variety of areas focused on the top 20 issues identified.
