GUEST SERVICES, INC. YOU’VE BEEN PHISHED!!! You are receiving this message because you clicked on a link in a bogus “phishing” e-mail. In this instance, you were “phished” purposely by the GSI IT Department and no harm was done by clicking on the link in the fake e-mail. Phishing is a cybercrime in which a target or targets are contacted by email, telephone or text message by someone posing as a legitimate institution to lure individuals into providing sensitive data such as personally identifiable information, banking and credit card details, and passwords. The information is then used to access important accounts and can result in identity theft and financial loss. The Guest Services’ IT Department has been given a directive from GSI upper management and our Board of Trustees to provide Security Awareness Training to all of our computer users. As part of this directive, we have created a simulated “Phishing Campaign” to find out how many GSI email users are clicking on links and/or opening attachments in phishing emails. Since you clicked on a link in a “phishing” email, you are required to view a video that is part of our Security Awareness Training. This video provides tips to avoid illegitimate email in the future. Shortly, you will receive an email from the Infosec Institute on behalf of Tammy Nguyen, GSI’s Manager of Network Security, with a link to watch a training video. Viewing this video is mandatory. If you have any questions about the phishing simulation, please contact Tammy Nguyen or Steve Jacobs in the GSI IT Department.
