METAL ORGANIC FRAMWORKS (MOFS) ZIF-8 POWDER

ZIF-8 can be fabricated by zinc and 2-Methylimidazole with a sodalite structure
consisting of a four- and a six-membered ring ZnN4 cluster, which has good
thermal and chemical stability, especially large specific surface area,
adjustable porosity and abundant active sites. It has shown up distinguished
advantages and advances in adsorption, gas separation, drug delivery, catalysis
and biosensor.

METAL ORGANIC FRAMWORKS (MOFS) AL-FUM POWDER

Al-FUM, with the formula Al(OH)(fum). x H2O (x=3.5;  fum=fumarate) exhibits a
structure that is indeed isoreticular to that of the well-known material
MIL-53(Al)-BDC (BDC=1,4-benzenedicarboxylate).  The framework is built up from
chains of corner-sharing metal octahedra linked together by fumarate to form
lozenge-shaped 1D pores having circa 5.7×6.0 Å2 free dimensions.

Calgary framework 20 (CALF-20) are composed of zinc ion (Zn2+) as the metal ion
source and oxalate ion (Ox2-) and 1,2,4-triazolate (Tri) as the organic ligands,
expressed as [Zn2Tri2Ox]. CALF-20 has a high CO2 adsorption capacity due to the
attractive dispersion interactions between CO2 and the MOF structure.

Water vapor capture and dehumidification

Air-to-water technology is an emerging method for water collection. MOFs as
dehumidification materials is gaining increasing attention. Compared to other
water collection technologies, MOFs require less energy input for water
adsorption-desorption cycles and are effective across a wider range of
temperatures and humidity levels, offering new possibilities for addressing
water supply challenges in hot and arid regions.

Air-conditioner and cooling

Applying MOFs to air conditioning can significantly reduce latent heat
consumption during cooling, thereby improving the cooling efficiency of air
conditioners. Tests have shown that after applying MOFs to air conditioners,
cooling power consumption can be reduced by more than 50%.

Lithium-ion battery

Coating MOFs onto lithium battery separators can improve their electrolyte
wettability, resulting in enhanced cycling stability for the battery.
Additionally, the microporous structure of MOFs can trap transition metal ions
released from the cathode and trace water in the electrolyte, preventing the
degradation of the SEI (Solid Electrolyte Interphase) layer and reducing side
reactions, ultimately prolonging the battery's cycle life.

CO2 capture

The microporous structure and distinctive chemical environment of MOF materials
make them outstanding CO2 adsorbents. They can selectively capture CO2 from flue
gas or air with high efficiency and require less energy to desorb the CO2
compared to traditional sorbents. MOFs have already been successfully
implemented in several CO2 capture projects globally.

The pore structure of MOFs can be engineered to selectively adsorb specific gas
molecules, making them highly versatile for use in the gas industry. MOFs can
facilitate the separation of mixed gas components and the adsorption and storage
of specific gases. They can be applied in various fields, including the
separation of low-carbon hydrocarbon gases in the petrochemical industry, the
purification of specialty gases in the semiconductor industry, air separation
for nitrogen or oxygen production, and solid-state hydrogen storage.
