We are women who come together representing various recovery 12-step programs
for a weekend at Whispering Winds that’s full of discovery, healing, resting,
restoring, laughing and loving one another in unity.

LAS HERMANAS RETREAT

Recovery is so much better when we do it together!  

This statement is proven during our weekend together. The atmosphere is peaceful
and amazing, however it is the women who occupy the camp for the weekend that
bring the true beauty of this retreat.  We are women who come together
representing various recovery 12-step programs for a weekend of discovery,
healing, resting, restoring, laughing and loving one another in unity.  We are
all recovering from something and recovery is so much better when we can do it
together! All 12-step programs are welcome. 

With alcoholism and addictions on the rise it is paramount that we remain active
and vigilant with reaching out our hand and welcome women into recovery because
we all have experienced the loneliness that came with and comes with the
disease. We have learned that even when out of practice with our substance of
choice we can still experience that loneliness, and feel separate from life;
alone. We have also experienced our disease manifest in other ways ~ shopping,
gambling, food, sex and relationships…. We have learned that recovery is not
linear, we know because we live it, we fight it and we attempt to overcome it
just for today- one day at a time.

We are women who come from all walks of life, of all different colors, cultures
and ages. We welcome you to a life changing weekend with us. We welcome you to
the tribe of LAS HERMANAS.

From the time you arrive and check-in on Friday, take a look at your schedule
and see how you’d like to plan out your weekend. There are a lot of things that
have been jam packed into this weekend that you may not want to miss out on, or
you may just want a weekend of rest, either way it’s your weekend and you can
plan it out the way you want it.

LAS HERMANAS INC IS A 501C NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE EMPOWERMENT
OF WOMEN IN ALL 12-STEP RECOVERY PROGRAMS. OUR PURPOSE IS TO HELP WOMEN
STRENGTHEN THEIR GROWTH IN RECOVERY THROUGH THE FELLOWSHIP AND SUPPORT OF OTHER
WOMEN IN RECOVERY. THE RETREAT OFFERS HIKING, OPEN AND SPEAKER MEETINGS,
MEDITATION, ARTS AND CRAFTS, NATURE WALKS, MEALS, LODGING AND ENDLESS AMOUNTS OF
LOVE, LAUGHTER, HUGS, AND FELLOWSHIP!
