THE THIRD-PARTY DATA BREACH PROBLEM IS HERE TO STAY: ARE YOU PREPARED?

   $69.00 $0.00

OVERVIEW:

The first half of 2021 witnessed some of the most damaging third-party data
breaches to date. With cyber-attacks ranging from small to large scales and data
thefts compromising sensitive information, there is no denying that the
third-party data breach problem is here, and it needs immediate action.

Recognizing the scope and nature of recent third-party data breaches is the
first step to mitigating future attacks. However, to effectively employ this,
one’s system must be equipped with a security solution that will not only hunt
down and defend against malicious wares but will also provide an intelligent
vision on all areas of access to ensure that threats are prevented before they
can penetrate.

The Knowledge Group has assembled a panel of key thought leaders to provide the
audience with an in-depth analysis of third-party data breaches. In a LIVE
Webcast, the speakers will dissect this year’s most prominent cyber incidents
and discuss their implications on the current business and digital landscape.
They will also provide practical tips to help business owners mitigate the risks
of third-party data theft.

Key topics include:

 * Third-Party Data Breach Trends and Statistics
 * Most Prominent Third-Party Data Breaches in 2021
 * Features of an Effective Security System
 * Practical Tips
 * An Outlook

Karim Hijazi, Founder and CEO
Prevailion

Prevailion’s Founder and CEO, Karim Hijazi, has a rich history in cybersecurity.
His previous startup, Unveillance, was acquired by Mandiant (now FireEye) in
2012. He’s worked closely with the US intelligence community for years and
specializes in adversary intelligence, cyber threat analysis and cybersecurity
innovation.Karim noticed a vulnerability in the way businesses have begun to
rely on their third-party partners. The size of a business’ perimeter had
increased along with the size of their third-party ecosystem, and there was no
clear way to monitor that vast new space.  He saw an opportunity to give
businesses visibility into this untapped space with the creation of
Prevailion. To assemble his team, Karim sought some of the best minds in the
cyber intelligence space, including former analysts and technical leaders from
the NSA, CIA and DARPA, along with Cisco’s Talos Intelligence Group. He also
received funding from prestigious investors in the cyber/intel community,
closing a $10 million Series A in 2019 led by AllegisCyber and a $2 million seed
round from DataTribe in 2018.  Most recently, as of October of 2020, Prevailion
had been awarded the coveted Cool Vendor Award by leading industry analyst,
Gartner.

Howard Marshall , Managing Director
Accenture Security

Howard Marshall is a Managing Director, Accenture Security, where he leads Cyber
Threat Intelligence. Before joining Accenture, Howard enjoyed a 20+ year career
with the FBI before retiring as the Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI’s Cyber
Division.  He held six other positions during his tenure, including Special
Agent in Charge of the Louisville Division.  Howard received a BA and JD from
the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Most recently, he completed Carnegie
Mellon’s CISO certification course.

John McCauley, Partner, Chair of the Privacy and Security Team
Dentons

John McCauley is a partner in Dentons’ Indianapolis office and chairs
the Privacy and Security Team. He provides counsel and assistance to companies
regarding cybersecurity and data privacy issues. He also maintains a diverse
litigation and trial practice in federal courts throughout the US.

For most companies, data is their most valuable asset. John helps clients
navigate issues related to the protection and integrity of their corporate and
personal data. As a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP-US, CIPP-E,
CIPM) he assists clients in identifying, evaluating and managing risks
associated with privacy and information security practices. Clients turn to John
when they need help with matters related to the General Data Protection
Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act, GLB, HIPAA, HITECH, COPPA,
CAN-SPAM, FCRA, TCPA, compliance, regulation, security breach notification laws,
and other US state and federal privacy and data security requirements.

John also provides extensive advice on cybersecurity risks, incidents and policy
issues, including proactive cyber incident readiness. John also conducts all
phases of online and offline privacy assessments, employee training, and
information security policy audits. He also has extensive experience litigating
privacy and security matters in the federal courts, and before the FCC and state
regulators.

John is a member of InfraGard, a partnership between the Federal Bureau of
Investigation and members of the private sector for the protection of critical
US infrastructure. He serves on InfraGard’s Cyber Finance Working Group. He was
appointed by Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb to serve on the Governor’s Executive
Council of Cybersecurity, advising on cybersecurity issues and initiatives.

John also represents and advises clients in connection with white collar
criminal defense, government investigations, securities fraud and SEC
enforcement actions, False Claims Act, FCPA, compliance with federal statutes
and internal investigations.

In addition, as a former naval aviator, aviation safety officer, and graduate of
the Aviation Safety Officer course at the Naval Postgraduate School, John
represents clients in numerous aviation-related matters, including major air
disasters, contract negotiations and disputes, internal investigations, safety
department reviews, products liability actions and in matters before the Federal
Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
