OUR STORY

Founded and operated by Virginia Tech Engineering graduates, 1901 Group focuses
on IT service delivery via Enterprise Operations Centers located near
universities and colleges in rural areas. We believed in this model of building
IT factories/enterprise operations and development capabilities located in areas
with access to talent, a great quality of life, and a moderate cost of living
since our inception.

To help customers unlock the benefits of public, private, and hybrid cloud, we
deliver cloud, cyber security, and enterprise managed services to address their
business needs of today and for the future. 1901 Group is at the forefront of
this trend using process and technology automation to deliver highly secure and
efficient “as-a-service” models.”


OUR NAME

1901 Group’s founding spirit was based on changing the way enterprise IT is
delivered and consumed by the market. Automation is what inspired the name of
the company, 1901 Group.

1901 was the year Ransom E. Olds invented the manufacturing assembly line. Olds’
assembly line leveraged skills and materials efficiently within a disciplined
and repeatable process that more than quadrupled automobile output and we use
the same principles applied to modern IT services.


OUR ENTERPRISE IT OPERATIONS CENTER (EITOC)

Combining high tech jobs with modernizing enterprise IT, our Enterprise IT
Operations Center is a game changer in the Federal market. Our EITOC drives
improved performance, increased security, and operational efficiencies through a
centralized 24×7 Operations Center that uniquely synthesizes manufacturing
principles, process automation, and technology integration to transform IT
service performance.
