SOLL'S STORY AND SHOP
Thick snow pristinely blankets a vast sandy expanse. The night sky
is illuminated by pinpricks of light, dwarfed by the moon's face.
You search at length for a sign of company.



 * Speak to Pellumi at Soll's Ruins to begin the seasonal quest "The Winter
   Sands"
 * There are 4 quests in total to be unlocked in succession.
 * 2 of 4 quests are repeatable quests. "The Great Labyrinth" can be completed
   once a day while "A Moment's Respite" can be completed 3 times.
 * Pellumi's Antique Nook is open again for the month of January!
 * Stocked are Soll's items, with a new few new items available this year.
 * This shop takes Ruin Lights which are obtainable through the Seasonal
   quests in Soll's Ruins, Random Item Alchemy, Adventuring Rewards, and
   the Starry Night Minigame

With the arrival of the Winter season, a new Seasonal Pet has appeared!

 * The ingredients to make the hatching item can be found in Pai, Agnes, and
   Oran's shops' Bonus Prize pools.
 * The item alchemy recipe is available in your recipe book and shown above.
 * This Seasonal Pet will remain in the shops for 3 months and rotate out at the
   end of February to be replaced by a pet for the next season.
 * Seasonal pets are obtainable annually on a rotation! The hatching items can
   be alchemized at any time of the year.
   



2022 Winter Shard Pets
The Winter Shards from 2022 have returned to Pai and Agnes' Shops this year at a
flat rate of 500 turnips, and Oran's Bonus Claim. Alchemize 3 Winter Seed + 1
Winter Soil + a Mixer Potion to create the Winter Fruit hatching item!


2021 Winter Shard Pets
The Winter Shards from 2021 have returned to Pai and Agnes' Shops this year at a
flat rate of 500 turnips, and Oran's Bonus Claim. Alchemize all 4 Shards + a
Mixer Potion to create the Winter Stone hatching item!


Much to everyone's jubilation, the Carnival has returned!
Visit the snowy northern region to begin your festivities.

Carnival Duration: December 1st - February 28th


    

A Brand New NPC will be added to the Carnival in the beginning of January!
CARNIVAL INFO

 * There are 3 seasonal NPC's in the Carnival. Say hello to Pitre, Cordelia, and
   Fefin!
 * Each NPC has their own quest and shop which takes the same event currency -
   Carnival Tokens.
 * There are 46 items and 3 pet species to be collected currently!
 * Each NPC has their own repeatable quest featuring their respective carnival
   games.
   
   * Pitre's "Cards, Jesters, and Destiny" quest!
   * Cordelia's Lucky Wheel quest!
   * Fefin's Great Monkey Maze quest!
     
   
 * Each quest will each be completable 4 times a day and grant varying token and
   decoration prizes depending on how well you do.
 * Can you unlock all of the secrets and obtain the wiggling achievements?
   



HOW TO OBTAIN CARNIVAL TOKENS
Carnival Tokens are the currency for the all shops at the Carnival and are
obtainable in the following ways:

 * Doing the seasonal event quests in the Carnival
 * Random Encounters
 * Random Item Alchemy
   




VAER'S SEASON

email if you haven't yet in case you were accepted, thank you!

TRADES MARKET UPDATES
We're still in the process of designing and working on our Trades Market revamp,
Pet Accessory Market, and Customs Market. Much of our work is aggregating and
compiling all user suggestions that we've received throughout the site's history
and deciding on how to work them into our updates in the best way possible.

LONGTERM PERMANENT CONTENT WORK
We've been brainstorming and working on more permanent content behind the scenes
such as future towns, revamps to older item pools, and much more with our artist

 * There are 3 quests in total: Among Fallen Leaves, Search the Shadowed
   Path (Repeatable, available throughout the month), and Returning to
   Magdalene's Cottage
 * Magdalene's Autumn Bazaar is open again for the month of November!
 * Stocked are Ombra's items, with a new item available this year.
 * Ombra's seasonal currency "Wild Forage Snacks" can be obtained from
   Magdalene's repeatable seasonal quest "Search the Shadowed Path" as well as
   through Random Encounters, Adventuring, and 3's Forest Clean Up.

We're well on our way in progress for the Aviar Balancing Update (which includes
the Frog Sink Update), here are some stats on our current progress!

MERCHANDISE PLANS
We're still in the concept and planning stages of making various merchandise.
We're thinking that we could try out a small Enamel Pin Set Kickstarter for
Louise Hill pets first at some point! Here are some concept sketches for pet
pins.


We'd love to hear what you think, comment here as well if you have ideas for
merch that you would really want!

QOL CHANGELOG INCOMING
We have a QoL update coming that will include custom maker drop rates across all
NPC shops as well as other things later this month. A status will go up as
always when we're preparing for an update maintenance!

If you made an application to our Staff Recruitment post, keep an eye out for
email replies coming in the next day or so! We've prepared some followup

SPOOKY TIDINGS!


A strange wind careens through the network of autumn branches like a lonesome
spirit. It's calling you out to a distant sea, noticed only by those of magic in
the deep forest.

Hello everyone, we hope you're having a lovely spooky season! As a surprise, a
small seasonal event has appeared in 3's Forest.
There are 8 new clothing items which are now available through gameplay!


NEW ITEMS

Pumpkin Helm, Spindle Hair, Spooky Coat, Skeletal Onesie, Pumpkin Slippers,
Compound Eyes, Crowded Fangs, Dainty Bat Wings
A collection of clothing items with a vaguely ominous air, but still fun loving
and enjoying walks on the beach.

HOW TO OBTAIN THEM

The magical denizens of the 3's Forest Region are giving out random rewards
during their daily errands. Try it out for yourself!

KELBI FESTIVAL CONCLUSIONS



As the festival draws to a close with nothing left to do besides
relax, you join Lula on the grass as her siblings dart around her.
You reflect on the new faces you've met during your time in the
Spiralwood, and how no matter the hurdles faced, people will
always come together to realize dreams into reality.


Thank you to everyone for participating in the Kelbi Festival!
Creating a story with side characters like Lula's family was very fun
for us because we know everyone will be walking away with their
own vision of what the members of that little family look like.

In total, 1784 users participated in obtaining 3242517 points in the The

52982 different pets were blessed during the festival, 244950 offerings were

Here are some plans for improvements for future events like this that we've
accumulated from hosting this event!

 * Assign different point prize values to different tasks instead of 1 for every
   task. This way more difficult tasks like hatching or alchemizing a pet would
   reward more.
 * Balance future event finale quests to unlock a bit sooner to reduce
   grindiness.
 * Display a cooldown on the event page for when you can give pets blessings,
   near the green "Visit Random Pet" button.
 * Add a "donate all" option for snail energy.
 * Add a blessing button in posts on the forums.
 * Look further into random pet button priorities to see if the selection can be
   a bit smarter.
 * Reduce currency reward clicks in quest by grouping both rewards into one
   step.
   


For the next few months, we'll be having smaller events and releases here and
there as well as staff managed forum contests in between more permanent content,
feature and balancing updates.

 * The repeatable quest can be completed 5 times a day, allowing for progression
   and accumulation of currency.
 * The Grove Goods Shop is stocked with Pann's items and will be open all month,
   taking Grove Treasure as currency!
 * Other than quests, Grove Treasure can also be obtained through Random
   Encounters, Adventuring, and Turnip Thief.
 * Clue - Take note of who you travel with, what paths you take, and at what
   time you take them.

EVENTUAL EVENT PLANS
Although we're currently going to be focusing on permanent content and feature
updates in order to better balance the base game, we'll eventually return with
more events in various formats. In the meantime during these next few months,
we're planning to still hold various contests and giveaways for those who enjoy
participating!

STAFF RECRUITMENT STATUS
We're finalizing emails to be sent out as soon as we can this month to our new
team members. Apologies for the delay on this, we intended to get emails out
earlier but with how busy event prep was and other circumstances we felt that it
would be better to wait until we can give our full attention to training the new
recruits. Thank you for your patience!

MERCHANDISE PLANS
You may have noticed that we were leisurely designing some potential merch on
development streams, we're currently long term planning some exciting Dappervolk
themed merch and may be holding some polls in the future before committing to
designs, stay tuned!

We've also gotten in contact with Makeship - a pledge-based plushie making site
and are planning out a potential future campaign. If all goes well, a Turnipling
plushie could exist in the future!

KELBI'S FESTIVAL BEGINS!


  

  

Dreams of spring everlasting, a sleeping deity, and a clatter.
The Spiralwood - A sprawling forest clearing full of old knotted trees and
dry brambles slowly sprouts with new growth and stubborn green.

Signs of life and good humour inhabit every corner.
What manner of adventure will meet your curiosity in this place?


The festival will be fully active for 3 weeks from:
SEPTEMBER 20TH 3AM DVT to
OCTOBER 11TH 11:59PM DVT
The Event Quests, Shop and site mechanics will remain open until October 18th,
11:59PM DVT

Welcome to Dappervolk's first Kelbi Festival!
We're so excited for everyone to experience the updated co-op event and learn
about Kelbi's story!


DREAM OF THE SPIRALWOOD

 * Visit the Spiralwood Dream to begin tracking for activities and become a
   participant!
 * This is a Cooperative Community Event in which all participants can donate to
   reach collective community milestone rewards.
 * Milestone prizes can be claimed by all participants regardless of
   contribution level once the prize is unlocked.
 * There are also Individual Prize Tiers for dedicated participants.
 * Collect Daily Rewards for donating and sending offerings!
 * With the Kelbi Festival comes pet blessings, where participants can make
   offerings to other users' pets for rewards.
   




WHAT ARE PET BLESSINGS?

 * During the Spiralwood Dream, participant pets can be blessed by other users
   with offerings.
 * Depending on which offering you pick, the target pet may gain a new friend
   for the festival's duration.
 * Once a pet is fully blessed, its owner can collect its many fortunes for
   rewards.
   



 * Lula's Festival Booth shop opens on the second day of the event on September
   21st 12AM DVT
 * The shop will be open until October 18th, 11:59PM DVT
 * Shop stock will include all Kelbi Deity clothing, Seasonal Spring Clothing, 2
   new pet hatch shards, totems, and more!
 * All shop items should be affordable if you unlock your personal tier prizes
   at the Spiralwood Dream and complete all 3 spring quests in the Spiralwood.

To access the event quest, visit the new seasonal area -
The Spiralwood! Go to the World Map and find it just east of Aviar Cove.

  

 * Speak to Lula at the Spiralwood to begin the seasonal quest "Into the
   Spiralwood"
 * There are 3 quests in total to be unlocked in succession.
 * "Festival of the Slumbering Snail" is a daily repeatable quest which can be
   completed 4 times per day.
   


 


There is an Avatar Dress Up Contest and Creativity Prompt Contest open
throughout the event!
Click on the buttons below to visit them.



All contest submissions close on October 11th, 11:59PM DVT to allow time for
judging, and prizes will be distributed in time for all currency to be spent.



Another Custom Maker Giveaway is now live!
Entries will close on October 18th, 11:59PM DVT

 * There are two Custom Maker grand prizes, type chosen by the winners.
 * One can be won through entering on the site thread and another through
   sharing on social media.
 * There are additional participation and runner up prizes for all entrants!
 * Only first time custom maker owners are eligible to win the grand prizes this
   time, though anyone can participate for the other prizes!
 * The winners will be announced on site once the giveaway concludes and winners
