About the Owners

Meet the faces behind Retreat at Ocean View. Simon and Jenny Hill.

The property grew out of our passion project: to combine our love of nature and
a desire to create a sanctuary.

Originally from New Zealand, our journey led us to this idyllic spot, which
reminded us of the lush green landscapes of New Zealand.

With 18 years of combined experience in tourism and accommodation, we have
poured our hearts into every aspect of Retreat at Ocean View, to ensure every
guest felt at home and relaxed while visiting.





THE PERFECT BLEND BETWEEN MOTEL AND BED AND BREAKFAST

Every detail is crafted with care to ensure your comfort and relaxation during
your countryside escape. You can enjoy the privacy of a motel combined with the
authenticity of a bed and breakfast.

From the crackling warmth of a fireplace on winter nights to refreshing air
conditioning on hot summer days, this Ocean View accommodation caters to your
needs. Snuggle up inside or relax on the open-air terrace soaking up the views,
while the resident cattle and wallabies graze the grass.

Environmentally Conscious
The Cottage is powered by solar panels.
We use eco-friendly cleaning and toiletry products and practices to minimise our
impact on our beautiful environment.

Please note: For this reason, we can’t allow pets. This allows you to fully
admire our native wildlife and resident cattle.

A QUALITY OCEAN VIEW STAY

Prime Location and Comfort


HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION



Stayed one night for a nearby wedding. Was very easy to get to, and close to a
beautiful winery and other amenities. It’s off the main road so was very
peaceful and quiet. Simon was very helpful and it was clean and in great shape.
Shame we were only there for one night, Would be a really nice place for a
longer stay as there is plenty to explore around the area.

Great location. Cosy and comfortable. Well appointed with everything you need!

BEAUTIFUL SPOT



Beautiful spot nestled away in the mountain, great location – minutes away from
the local wineries which was perfect for us as we were attending a wedding at
Ocean View Estate.

ONLY A FEW MINUTES DRIVE FROM OCEANVIEW ESTATE



Very convenient only a few minutes drive from Oceanview Estate where we attended
an event. Lovely cosy place on a property (with gate and decent driveway).
Everything we needed for our short stay.

VERY CLEAN AND EXCELLENT



The cottage is very clean and excellent, it’s a single cottage on property and
very private, approximately 50 metres from homestead. Very quiet, all amenities
are as advertised, fully self contained, you can cook if you like. Driveway is
quite long Ok for driving on, but a difficult walk if coming back late at night
especially after some rain, a torch on phone required. Understandable
considering it’s a country farm stay in the hills. Simon was great and highly
recommend a stay here Great location, worth the trip.

Steeped in history and nestled amidst the rolling hills of Mount Mee, our
property has a story to tell. Once part of a thriving dairy farm, it later
became a homeopathic health and well-being clinic.

Today, we’ve transformed this special land into a sanctuary for those seeking
respite from the busy city life.

Our quaint cottage offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience – with a
large separate bedroom, cozy living area, spacious terrace and a fully equipped
kitchenette.
