ABOUT ME

Emma has been living around a passion for animals all her life and was inspired
at a young age when her father Steve had race horses in training and watched
their success.

As soon as she was old enough she began following her cousins who were based at
a local riding school and helping wherever possible, which led to Emma
eventually persuading her father to take her to Attridge’s Equestrian Centre to
learn to ride.

Here Emma learnt the ropes and would be found mucking out or grooming a horse in
every ounce of her spare time.

This lead to a quick progression and riding as an affiliated Junior rider within
2 years riding numerous ponies from young to quirky for the yard owner to sell
on.

Emma got her first pony at 14years old and landed a pony called Legan.

Legan had been mistreated somewhat and Emma created a bond with this pony which
shone through to a lot of people that she had the patience the animals needed.
She went on to take this pony to Pony of the Year show on numerous occasions and
got placed in the top ten at every event despite peoples doubts and
expectations.

Emma supported the carriage driving world, producing a young Hackney horse for
competition classes, grooming for individuals and team drivers at world
championships and helping drivers new to the sport learn the ropes.

Currently Emma has two young horses and is hoping to compete in the UK and
Europe and fulfil her competition dreams at amateur level.

This came after loosing her best show jumping horse Ollie in which inspired Emma
to become a physiotherapist.

Emma’s long term goals are to help as many people and their horses as possible,
promote physiotherapy and maintenance treatments of horses in parts of Europe
that its not currently understood in and ensure as many people can benefit from
what she can offer.

Emma saw my horse Leo last week as he was a little tight on the left rein. She
was very thorough and took time to identify where the discomfort was and
explained all the way through what she was doing and why. Very thorough and
professional. Definitely an improvement in my horse much freer on both reins
which was great to say. Highly recommend Emma and will be booking Leo in again
more regularly.
