HOLIDAY MORTGAGE RATES OFFER BUYERS LOW RATES


For years, experts have been saying it's a buyers market, and that statement
couldn't be more true right now. Mortgage rates are at an all-time low and
special rates offered during holidays are becoming more prevalent.

When considering the right time to purchase a home, look at current mortgage
rates, discuss it with a realtor, and note which time of the year you're
buying-holiday mortgage rates are popular during holidays and might be your best
time to buy.

Mortgage rates refer to the rate of interest charged by a mortgage lender.
Mortgage rates are determined by a number of factors, including international
economic activity, treasuries, credit quality, and individual banks. Generally,
mortgage rates will differ only a few percentage points from bank to bank, but
that could mean thousands of dollars saved or spent depending on which bank or
lender you use.

Oftentimes, banks and other lenders will notice fluctuating mortgage rates
during the holidays. Sometimes this is completely coincidental and other times
banks will announce lower rates as incentives to purchase during the holidays.

Peak home purchasing times are usually in the summer months-during May, June,
July, and August. Lenders who are working with realtors are anxious to sell
homes that did not sell during the summer months so they often offer attractive
holiday mortgage rates.

Also, if you take a look at past interest rates you'll usually see drops every
November, December, and January. Even if rates continue to drop, they are still
likely to dip in the winter months, according to recent studies. Homeowners are
also anxious to sell their home during the end of the year for tax purposes
which only adds to great holiday mortgage rates.

The reasons are many to purchase a home during the holidays because of the deals
offered by banks and lenders for holiday mortgage rates.
