<p>Fidelity 2023.1 is here, and this is one of our biggest releases yet. You'll find a variety of enhancements to performance, memory, and usability that will streamline your workflow and deliver CFD simulation results
quickly. Aside from those enhancements, there are two major capabilities that are especially exciting. The first is that we have significantly expanded compatibility with Fidelity Pointwise meshes in Fidelity DBS projects.
The second is that we now have a fully integrated turbomachinery workflow with structured grids and HPC capability.</p>
<h2 id="mcetoc_1h2h42ll80">Pointwise - DBS Compatibility</h2>
<p>Fidelity's coupled, density-based solver technology has been continually developed since it was first deployed in our classic products, Fidelity Fine Turbo, and later, Fidelity Fine Open. It has proven speed and accuracy
for turbomachinery compressors, supersonic aircraft, and other applications requiring high compressibility. Fidelity Pointwise is a widely used, well-regarded meshing solution in the aerospace and defense industries due to
its proven reliability in enabling converged, high-accuracy solutions. One of the most important technologies in Pointwise is its boundary layer meshing, which is a necessity for accurately calculating lift and drag. In
our latest release, Pointwise boundary layers are now fully compatible with the solver technology powering both Fidelity DBS and Fidelity Turbo. Now you can do transonic and supersonic simulations in your DBS projects
using the proven quality of Pointwise meshing technology.</p>

<h2 id="mcetoc_1h2h42v001">Full Turbomachinery Workflow</h2>
<p>Our density-based solver technology has driven our Fine Turbo product for many years, but that's not the only reason it's such a well-regarded solution in industry for turbomachinery applications. Fine Turbo led the way
in application-centric workflows when the commercial CFD industry was still in its infancy. Today, we have deployed a complete, next-generation workflow in our platform. All our core technologies are now in one place,
enabling the turbomachinery engineer to design, simulate, and iterate without leaving a single environment. For example, a radial compressor can be created in Fidelity Agile, flow paths edited in Fidelity Autogrid, and our
unique ZR meshing technology used to mesh above and behind the impeller blades. There are a number of enhancements to turbomachinery that you won't find in our classic products, including the ability to restart the
simulation from a different mesh and doing design, simulation, and postprocessing in a single environment. We even have a new pressure-based solver available for applications such as pumps and hydroturbines.</p>

<p>Fidelity 2023.1 is a major step forward for CFD software. There are more improvements, such as a 30% reduction in Fidelity AutoSeal peak memory, parallel multiblock meshing, and automatic wet surface detection. With the
new release, we are bringing time-tested, industry-accepted technologies into the next generation while continuing to innovate, enhance, and improve.</p>

You'll find a variety of enhancements to performance, memory, and usability that will streamline your workflow and deliver CFD simulation results quickly. Aside from those enhancements, there are two major capabilities that are especially exciting. The first is that we have significantly expanded compatibility with Fidelity Pointwise meshes in Fidelity DBS projects. The second is that we now have a fully integrated turbomachinery workflow with structured grids and HPC capability. POINTWISE - DBS COMPATIBILITY Fidelity's coupled, density-based solver technology has been continually developed since it was first deployed in our classic products, Fidelity Fine Turbo, and later, Fidelity Fine Open. It has proven speed and accuracy for turbomachinery compressors, supersonic aircraft, and other applications requiring high compressibility. Fidelity Pointwise is a widely used, well-regarded meshing solution in the aerospace and defense industries due to its proven reliability in enabling converged, high-accuracy solutions. One of the most important technologies in Pointwise is its boundary layer meshing, which is a necessity for accurately calculating lift and drag. In our latest release, Pointwise boundary layers are now fully compatible with the solver technology powering both Fidelity DBS and Fidelity Turbo. Now you can do transonic and supersonic simulations in your DBS projects using the proven quality of Pointwise meshing technology. Figure 1: Pressure coefficient field for NASA CRM at Mach 0.85. The solution is obtained in a DBS project using a Pointwise mesh FULL TURBOMACHINERY WORKFLOW Our density-based solver technology has driven our Fine Turbo product for many years, but that's not the only reason it's such a well-regarded solution in industry for turbomachinery applications. Fine Turbo led the way in application-centric workflows when the commercial CFD industry was still in its infancy. Today, we have deployed a complete, next-generation workflow in our platform. All our core technologies are now in one place, enabling the turbomachinery engineer to design, simulate, and iterate without leaving a single environment. For example, a radial compressor can be created in Fidelity Agile, flow paths edited in Fidelity Autogrid, and our unique ZR meshing technology used to mesh above and behind the impeller blades. There are a number of enhancements to turbomachinery that you won't find in our classic products, including the ability to restart the simulation from a different mesh and doing design, simulation, and postprocessing in a single environment. We even have a new pressure-based solver available for applications such as pumps and hydroturbines. There are more improvements, such as a 30% reduction in Fidelity AutoSeal peak memory, parallel multiblock meshing, and automatic wet surface detection. With the new release, we are bringing time-tested, industry-accepted technologies into the next generation while continuing to innovate, enhance, and improve.
