interests, as well as future career goals.


FACULTY AND RESEARCH

Our award-winning professors work in five major areas of research, cutting
across many industries and encompassing nearly all human endeavors. We are also
home to two high-profile initiatives - Institute for Big Data Analytics and
DeepSense - as well as our own innovation playground, ShiftKey Labs.

Impact Rankings 2024: Dalhousie ranks 65th globally for tackling some of the
world's biggest issues

Dalhousie scaled new heights against nearly 2,000 other universities in this
year's rankings, placing in the top 20 globally for its work in support of life
below water, top 30 globally for zero hunger, and top 50 for life on land.
Dal alumni who are now Canada’s rising business leaders point to common theme
for success

Faten Alshazly, co-founder of WeUsThem, and Daniel Bartek, co-founder of Ace
Beverage Group and WakeWater Beverage Company, discussed the importance of
connecting with people at the 2024 Neville Gilfoy Entrepreneurship Panel.
Dalhousie soars into top 18 per cent of universities in QS World University
Rankings

Dalhousie advanced 23 places from last year in the latest QS rankings, landing
at 275 worldwide out of 1,503 institutions ranked.

Almas Shaikh says entering Dal's Master of Applied Computer Science program was
one of the best decisions she's ever made. Finding a supportive tech community
