JIACHENG CHENG


ABOUT ME

I am Jiacheng Cheng, a first-year PhD Candidate at Newcastle University,
affiliated with the Open Lab and Boguslaw Obara’s Lab for Image Informatics. My
research focuses on the exploration and implementation of deep generative
models, specifically GANs(Generative Adversarial Networks), to intelligently
generate desired images that support the art of cosplay using human-computer
interaction techniques. I am supervised by Dr. Lei Shi and Prof. Boguslaw Obara.
 
I graduated with distinction in August 2022, earning my MSc in Computer Science
from Newcastle University with a grade of 79.2. My dissertation, Data Science
application in sports: Predict the impact of players on the competitiveness of
NBA teams, which was supervised by Dr. Paolo Zuliani, got 82 out of 100.
