HUMANS IN MOTION

Humanetics is a technology organization with a mission to protect people,
put them in control, and empower them to engineer extraordinary solutions
in critical
environments with remarkable precision.

PROTECTING HUMANS IN MOTION

Humanetics is a hi-tech global industrial technology group. We engineer
extraordinary safety, digital and sensor solutions for critical environments to
put humans at the heart of industrial design. We are the pioneers of crash test
dummies and a leading provider of virtual simulation software, integrated crash
test systems, precision sensors, specialized fiber optics, and laser-based
material engineering. Our highly specialized solutions are used in the
development of every car on the road today, space missions, guidance systems,
operating theatres, biomedical devices, haptic surgery, energy generation,
semi-conductor chip manufacturing and many applications at the cutting edge of
human innovation. Our sensor and measurement capabilities create data from
critical environments and deliver precision tools to enable customers to answer
critical questions and empower decisions that drive performance. When we
innovate, humans thrive.

OUR WORK IN ACTION

We draw our own specialty optical fiber in southern England, design custom
electronic sensors in the heart of the technology cluster outside of Boston and
code sophisticated virtual testing models in our office in Bangalore. Our crash
safety experts in places like Heidelberg, Tokyo, Nagoya, Shanghai and Detroit
provide direct support to every automaker and safety supplier wherever they
choose to manufacture vehicles. Our products keep jet fighters on course, ensure
proper dosages of life-saving medicine are properly administered to patients,
allow the Mars Rover to send back data from the Red Planet, and help protect
astronauts from extreme gravitational forces. Explore some of the ways our
technology is applied from cutting edge aerospace projects taking humankind to
the edge of our galaxy, to manufacturing microscopic components
for particle colliders.

PRECISION ENGINEERED.

The digital revolution has seen every part of our lives transformed: from the
billboards at Times Square to our evening binge of cable TV, our world depends
on the ability to transmit vast quantities of data across the global fiber optic
networks.

OpTek Systems’ LaserCleaveTM technology delivers the high-quality optical
interfaces required for the digital revolution. You will find our technology
embedded in millions of optical platforms – from our ubiquitous mobile devices
to systems powering billboards and TV screens across the world.

PROTECTING HUMAN POTENTIAL.

Women are 73% more likely than men to be injured in a crash. We’ve designed the
most biofidelic female anthropomorphic test device instrumented with 150
infra-red, strain-gauge and fiber optic sensors to provide data on where women
are most vulnerable to injury: the neck, breast, abdomen and legs.

Every device performs to exacting precision in a test, so that automakers can
trust the sensory intelligence she delivers and help reduce her risk of injury.

ACCELERATED INTELLIGENCE.

Optical fibers can be used as sensors to measure temperature, pressure and
strain by modifying the fiber. A particularly useful feature of intrinsic fiber
optic sensors is that they can provide distributed sensing over very large
distances and are ideal for some oil and gas applications.

So while the nodding donkeys are going around the clock, we can keep track of
exactly what’s going on.

SENSING LIFE IN MOTION.

Our custom sensor designs are found on well-known flight platforms. They support
precise electric actuation systems, health & usage monitoring systems (HUMS),
advanced cockpit controls, and many other applications.

As the aerospace industry makes increasing use of electric actuation, data-based
monitoring, and standardized controls systems, HITEC is the ideal partner for
sensors that are available today and engineered for the long-term future.

PRECISION ENGINEERED.

OpTek Systems uses lasers to cut ultrafine channels out of glassy carbon to
create loops used to present material in the beam of a Synchrotron. Our
precision manufacturing to exacting tolerances (±1µm – finer than spider silk)
is helping advance the understanding of our world.

We know that the frontiers of human progress can only be enabled when precision,
predictability and exacting tolerances are never compromised.

PROTECTING HUMAN POTENTIAL.

Our latest generation of crash test dummies are designed with advanced
biofidelic features and 150 seperate sensor channels.

During crash tests their strain gauge and fiber optic sensors detect
infinitesimally tiny pressures on the ribs, neck and abdomen so that
manufacturers can design systems to better protect the specific physiology of
young adults, women and pregnant mothers.

SENSING LIFE IN MOTION.

Our sensor solutions help surgeons work smarter and with greater precision. They
help diagnosticians see clearly. They help enable minimally invasive surgeries
that lead to faster and more complete recovery. They help patients be more
comfortable, mobile, and healthy.

Custom engineering and manufacturing is HITEC’s specialty, enabling us to
understand and serve the needs of medical equipment manufacturers like no other
provider can. And we deliver highly customized solutions in high volumes.
