CALL TO ORDER BY CONFERENCE CO-CHAIR

ERIC MASON,

Head of Private Equity, The Church Pension Fund

Eric Mason is a Managing Director of The Church Pension Fund. He joined the
Church Pension Fund in 2009 as the head of the Fund’s new Asian office based in
Hong Kong and has been based in Asia for almost 25 years. Mr. Mason and his team
are responsible for the Fund’s investments in Asia across all asset classes with
a focus on private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, credit and real estate.
The team manages approximately $3.0 billion in investments in Asian based
managers.

Prior to joining the Fund, Mr. Mason was the head for the Carlyle Group’s Asia
Leverage Finance Fund and before that spent 13 years at JPMorgan most recently
as Asian regional head of Leveraged Finance. In these roles, Mr. Mason has
developed experience in structuring, underwriting and investing in private
equity and credit transactions. Mr. Mason first came to Asia in 1990 to teach at
the Foreign Affairs University in Beijing with Princeton-in-Asia, prior to that
he worked in Washington DC for U.S. Senator Bill Bradley. Mr. Mason earned a
Masters Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of
International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and a B.A. in International Relations
and Economics from the University of Delaware. Mr. Mason speaks Mandarin
Chinese.

The Church Pension Fund is a private tax exempt organization based in New York
City with more than US$17 billion in assets under management. The Fund has been
in continuous operation since 1917 and provides pension benefits to those
serving the Episcopal Church. The Church is an extensive investor in alternative
assets and has been investing with many of the global leaders in venture capital
and private equity for decades.


WELCOME REMARKS BY HKVCA CHAIRWOMAN

REBECCA XU,

Co-Founder & Managing Director, Asia Alternatives

Rebecca Xu is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Asia Alternatives. Ms. Xu
splits her time between Asia Alternatives’ Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong
offices. Ms. Xu is on the Firm’s Investment Committee and co-leads Asia
Alternatives’ investments in growth and venture capital funds, focusing most of
her time on Asia Alternatives’ China investments.

Prior to starting Asia Alternatives, Ms. Xu was a Senior Investment Officer at
the Funds Group of the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), the private
sector investment arm of the World Bank Group. There, she had the primary
responsibility of leading IFC’s fund investing and portfolio supervision in Asia
for over six years. Previously, Ms. Xu also worked at McKinsey & Co, Inc.
(Washington D.C.) and HSBC (Hong Kong).

Ms. Xu received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor’s
degree in International Relations from the Foreign Affairs College in Beijing,
China. Ms. Xu is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.

Ms. Xu currently serves on the Advisory Boards for a number of Asia
Alternatives’ China and India private equity funds. In addition, she serves as
the Chairwoman of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association
(HKVCA) and on the Board of the Chun Hui Bo’ai Children’s Foundation. Ms. Xu is
a member of the Hong Kong Academy of Finance.


OPENING REMARKS

THE HON. PAUL CHAN MO-PO, GBM, GBS, MH, JP,

Financial Secretary, HKSAR Government

Mr Chan is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a former President of the Hong
Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Before joining the Government, Mr Chan held a number of public service positions
including member of the Legislative Council and Chairman of Legal Aid Services
Council.

Mr Chan served as Secretary for Development from July 2012 to January 2017. He
has been Financial Secretary since 2017.


OPENING KEYNOTE

MING LU,

Executive Chairman, Asia Pacific, KKR

Ming Lu (Hong Kong) joined KKR in 2006. He is the Executive Chairman, Asia
Pacific at KKR Asia Limited and is a Member of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.
L.P. Mr. Lu currently serves as a member of the KKR Asian Private Equity
Investment Committee, KKR Asian Portfolio Management Committee and the Firm’s
Management Committee. Mr. Lu has played a significant role in private equity
investments across Asia Pacific. Since 2018, he has been playing a leadership
role in KKR Asia’s growth and expansion, including serving as a member of the
Asian Infrastructure Investment Committee and Asian Real Estate Investment
Committee. He was previously a Partner at CCMP Capital Asia (formerly J.P.
Morgan Partners Asia). At JPMP Asia, Mr. Lu was responsible for investments in
the automotive, consumer and industrial sectors in Korea, China, Japan,
Australia and South East Asia. Prior to joining JPMP Asia in 1999, Mr. Lu was
President of Asia Pacific at Lucas Varity, a leading global automotive component
supplier. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Lu worked for Kraft Foods International Inc.
From 1985 to 1993, he worked for CITIC, the largest direct investment firm in
China. Mr. Lu received a B.A. in Economics from Wuhan University of
Hydroelectrical Engineering in China and an M.B.A. from University of Leuven in
Belgium.


FIRESIDE CHAT

SAMSON WONG,

Chief Investment Officer (Private Markets), HKMA

Mr. Samson Wong is responsible for managing all private markets investments at
the Exchange Fund Investment Office of the HKMA. Mr. Wong currently leads a team
of more than 40 professionals covering investments across private equity and
real estate.

Mr. Wong has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial and investment
industry. Prior to the HKMA, Mr. Wong held various positions at major investment
banks, including RBS, UBS and JPMorgan.

Mr. Wong is a graduate from the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA program and received
his B.S. in Finance and Information System from Boston College.

KENT CHEN,

Managing Director, Neuberger Berman Asia

Kent Chen, CFA, is a Managing Director and head of Asia private equity at
Neuberger Berman. Mr. Chen joined Neuberger Berman in 2015 from the Hong Kong
Monetary Authority (HKMA) after 17 years of central banking career in various
positions including Deputy Chief Representative of the HKMA’s New York Office
and Advisor to the Executive Director for China at the International Monetary
Fund in Washington D.C. From 2008, Mr. Chen helped to establish the HKMA’s
private equity program. Before joining the HKMA in 1998, Mr. Chen was Head of
China Research at Daiwa Securities.

Benjamin advises international and regional sponsors on fund formation matters,
including on the establishment of closed-ended funds, hybrid funds and bespoke

He works closely with the firm’s M&A practice to advise private capital clients

Bo Hu is a Managing Director who leads the HSBC Private Credit Trading business
in APAC. She oversees a business including par loan, special situations trading

Bo has over a decade of experience in APAC credit market with roles spanning
banking, structuring and trading. She started her career in Lehman Brothers IBD
and later on joined JP Morgan and Credit Suisse in credit trading roles.

Ryan Chung is the head and founder of Huatai International’s private credit
investment team. Ryan has over 20 years of experience in secured private debt
and private equity investments. He specializes in infrastructure, energy and
natural resources industry. Ryan was responsible for an aggregate of over US$2
billion private capital investments throughout Asia across 12 countries.

Prior to Huatai, Ryan was a founding partner of the semi-sovereign China-ASEAN
Investment Fund specializing in private equity investments in the ASEAN region.
He has also worked at UBS Investment Banking Division and Citi’s leverage
finance team. Prior to that, Ryan was also a Chartered Civil Engineer registered

TIM HUANG,

Tim Huang is a Partner of Lexington Partners and a member of the Secondary
Investment Committee. Based in Hong Kong, Tim is responsible for Lexington’s
Asia business and primarily engaged in the origination and evaluation of

Alex Imseeh has 10 years’ worth of experience in financial markets and data
infrastructure. He commenced his journey in September 2014 with the London Stock
Exchange Group (LSEG), where he presently serves as a senior business
development manager in the funds team in the capital markets division at the
London Stock Exchange. In this capacity, Alex advises fund managers on the
process of raising, listing, and trading closed-ended funds. 

His earlier contributions at the London Stock Exchange included valuable
involvement in the debt capital markets team, where he supported sovereigns and

Kuo-Yi is the Co-founder and Managing Partner at Monk’s Hill Ventures, a leading
early-stage venture capital firm in Southeast Asia. He is based in Singapore and
serves on the boards of Ninja Van, Padlet, KKday, URBANMETRY, GoGet, Hypefast,
Upmesh, CROWDE and DELOS.

Prior to founding Monk’s Hill Ventures, Kuo-Yi was CEO of Infocomm Investments,

Hiroyuki Fukuda joined the firm in 2019. He is a Principal on the Asia Private

Angela Lee is the Head of Investments for New World Strategic Investmemts, where

23 years of investment experience in private debt, debt structuring, special
situations, and alternative investments across a range of sectors. Prior to
NWSI, Angela was the Managing Director, head of Leverage Finance China with
Standard Chartered and is responsible for building up SCB corporate finance

KATRINA CHIK,

strategic players such as Qihoo, Mediatek, Pactera, Acquity, Hisoft, ASE, SAS
and sponsors such as Temasek, Khazanah, ATIC, GGV, CVCI and DCM. Shane has acted
as advisor on many technology M&A transactions including SaS acquisition of
Covalent, sale of Singapore Computer Systems to NCS in 2009 and the private

JEFFREY CHAN,

Mr. Jeffrey Chan is a founding partner of Oriental Patron Financial Group

Steven D. Wang, Ph.D., CFA, is a Partner and Senior Managing Director on the
Asia team. Prior to joining OrbiMed, Dr. Wang served as a Managing Director
focusing on healthcare at CITICPE, one of largest domestic private equity houses
in China. Previously, Dr. Wang was a Managing Director and Head of the APAC
Healthcare Investment Banking at Credit Suisse. He has also worked on healthcare
capital markets and M&A transactions at Morgan Stanley, UBS and Rothschild both
in Hong Kong and in New York. Before moving to Asia, he worked in asset

Jie Gong is a Partner at Pantheon, and a member of the firm’s Asia Regional

KYLE STANFORD,

Kyle Stanford is the lead US venture capital research analyst at PitchBook,
where he oversees a team of analysts covering the US venture market. He has

Jeffrey earned his AB in Social Studies from Harvard University, graduating Phi
Beta Kappa, magna cum laude and as a John Harvard Scholar. He holds an MBA from
Harvard Business School.

LORNA CHEN,

Asia Regional Managing Partner & Head of Greater China, Shearman & Sterling

Apart from serving as regional leader, Lorna Chen is also a member of the firm’s
Executive Group. Lorna founded and leads our asset management and investment
funds practice in Asia. Lorna has 27 years of experience across the United
States, Europe and Asia in the corporate law area, including 23 years in the
investment funds and private equity field. She advises clients in the
structuring, restructuring, formation and operation of alternative investment
products, including private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds,
real estate funds, funds of funds, project funds and co-investment structures.

Lorna has extensive experience in cross-border transactions representing top
global institutional clients such as the world’s major sovereign wealth funds,
wealth management platforms, commercial and policy banks, insurance companies,
as well as family offices and start-up companies.

Lorna is a frequent speaker at major regional conferences and is regularly
interviewed by the financial media in Asia. She has also been consistently rated
a leading lawyer by various independent ranking publications.

MARK CHIBA,

Group Chairman & Partner, The Longreach Group

Mark Chiba is Group Chairman and Partner of The Longreach Group. The Longreach
Group is an established independent private equity firm with offices in Hong
Kong and Tokyo. The Firm focuses on Japan and related Greater China control
buyouts in the mature industrial and technology, consumer, business services and
financial services sectors. The Firm manages three Funds which have accumulated
approximately US$2.1 billion of committed limited partner and co-investment
capital.

Mark co-founded The Longreach Group in late 2003. Mark’s lead responsibilities
at Longreach include firm management, senior relationship driven investment
sourcing and execution, and building the firm’s global capital base and
networks.

Before co-founding Longreach, Mark served as Chief Executive Officer and
President of UBS Securities Japan, Member of the Global Investment Banking
Management Committee and Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Investment Banking
Management Committee, Head of Japan Investment Banking and as a member of the
UBS Global Investment Bank Board. Previous to these roles, Mark headed the UBS
Asia-Pacific Financial Institutions Group.

Mark is an Australian citizen, resident in Hong Kong. He holds First Class
Honours degrees in Economics (University of Melbourne) and Law (University of
Sydney). Mark is a Rhodes Scholar with a Master of Philosophy degree in
International Relations (with Distinction) from Oxford University.

DANNY KOH,

Founder & CEO, Tower Capital Asia

Danny is the founder and CEO of Tower Capital Asia. He has over 15 years of
private equity experience in Southeast Asia and has invested and originated over
US$1b of transactions. He began his private equity career with 3i where he
invested in and exited several successful deals. More recently, he led the
Southeast Asia private equity team at Actis before he founded Tower Capital Asia
in 2016. Danny started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Danny has a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University,
Singapore. He is also a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered
Accountants.

Besides being on the boards of portfolio companies, he sits on the Services
Committee of the National Council of Social Service and is Vice Chairman of
Community Chest., Singapore.

FREDERIC AZEMARD,

Managing Partner, TR Capital

Frederic Azemard is a Managing Partner at TR Capital. He joined the firm in 2012
and focuses on deal screening, quantitative analysis, due diligence, deal
monitoring and exit of transactions. Mr. Azemard is a board member of a number
of TR Capital’s investee companies. Mr. Azemard began his career at Bain & Co.
in Los Angeles. In 2005, he joined Electra Partners in Europe, before becoming
the CEO of Sunnco GC. Mr. Azemard is also a former Officer of the French Navy.

Mr. Azemard holds a Master in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, and graduated
from Ecole Polytechnique and ENST.

TOMMY YIP,

Founder & Managing Partner, Unicorn Capital Partners

Tommy Yip is the Founding Partner of Unicorn Capital Partners, a tech-focused
venture capital platform specialized in primary fund investments, secondaries,
and direct investments in China. Prior to founding Unicorn, Tommy spend a decade
as Partner & Head of North Asia for Emerald Hill Capital Partners, an emerging
manager focused fund-of-funds in Asia. Before that, Tommy was Head of Research
at the AVCJ Group.

DANNY LEE,

Managing Partner, VCA Capital

Danny Lee is an experienced investor with over 25 years of global private equity
experience spanning venture, growth and buyouts. He is currently managing VCA
Capital Fund I, helping individuals and family offices manage their private
equity portfolio globally through both fund and direct investments. Danny is
also a senior advisor to Blue Pool Capital where he was a partner running global
private equity since 2015. Before that he was a managing director at Bain
Capital and Vice President at Investor AB, the largest industrial holding
company in the Nordic region. He started his career with Lehman Brothers in NY.
Danny has a BA in Economics from Columbia and is a CFA Charter holder.

Danny is an Aspen Finance Fellow and Edmund Hillary Fellow. He sits on the
investment committee for New Zealand Elevate Venture Fund, on the board of the
HK Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, and is the chairman of Seed
Foundation, a youth education NGO sponsored by Alibaba Entrepreneur Fund. He is
also a committee member at the Financial Services Development Council, an
advisor to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Our Hong Kong Foundation,
and a founding Patron to the HK Palace Museum.
