Levels 4 and 5 present eight exclusive penthouses. North-ease views are spectacular toward Rangitoto Island and the Waitemata Harbour, with the CBD in full view to the northwest. Designed by Monk Mackenize with interior by Amelia Holmes, York House is a moment in time, an icon of urban architecture. ARCHITECTURE Peeling inwards from each street corner, Monk Mackenzie’s architecture evokes feelings of an ancient structure. Charcoal coloured concrete pleating alludes to the volcanic bedrock underpinning Auckland. Vertical ribbing creates a timeless play of light and shadow along the building’s gentle curves. 2 / 5 INTERIORS Interiors by Amelia Holmes are crafted to perfection with no detail left untouched. Kitchens for connoisseurs are complemented by travertine stone or honed arabescato benching and splashbacks. Integrated cooking and cooling appliances by Gaggenau, Miele, Fisher & Paykel are specific to particular floorplans. 2 / 13 MATERIALS The materials we surround ourselves with mean something.
