 * Organize your tasks into projects and break down large tasks into subtasks
   until you get reasonably sized actions.

Generating ordered To-Do list



 * Once loaded with your information, MyLifeOrganized goes to work and prepares
   a simple list containing only the next actions which require your immediate
   attention. This is a simple non-hierarchical list of actions selected from
   the entire Outline. This list is updated automatically once you complete a

   is a weekly goal, monthly goal or yearly goal. The special Goals view is
   designed to easily review all your goals.

Contexts



 * Contexts are the categories to organize your tasks or they are the places
   where you can complete your tasks. You can assign several contexts for the
   same task to include it to the different lists.

Star to highlight a task



 * You can mark a task with a star to highlight it and include to the special
   list of Starred tasks.



Filter by context



 * You can filter the task list by Context. In this case, only tasks assigned to
   this Context (or any of its included Contexts) will be added to the list.

Search-as-you-type



 * It is easy to find a specific task in MyLifeOrganized. The search feature is
   very fast and provides search-as-you-type: it immediately displays search
   results as you type the text you want to find.
   

Zoom to a branch of tasks



 * You can use Zoom if you have a complex tree of tasks with many branches and
   want to concentrate on one project and temporally hide all the others.

   events you have for the next few weeks in a graph form, by simply connecting
   with your calendar. And you will plan your time more effectively!

Password protection



 * You can protect your tasks in MyLifeOrganized application so that nobody
   opens it without your password.

Recurring & regenerating tasks

Only basic recurring templates supported on mobile. You can setup complex
templates on desktop and sync to mobile.





 * You can set a task to occur repeatedly. For example a task that occurs on a
   regular basis, such as a weekly status report or periodical car maintenance,
   can be set up as a recurring task.

Projects tracking



 * You can indicate that a certain task is a Project. All projects with their
   statuses are included to a special Projects view where you can review them.
   The completion percentage is automatically calculated for each project.

Complete the tasks in a specific order



 * You can instruct MLO to place the next subtask of a project in the To-Do list
   only after the previous subtask is completed. This way you can create
   projects where certain tasks are dependent on the completion of other tasks.

Dependencies



 * There can be tasks in the outline which cannot be started until some tasks
   from other branches are completed. To prevent a task from being shown in the
   To-Do list in Active Actions view until other tasks are completed, add these
   tasks to the Dependencies section for the task you want to block.

Set colors and formatting to your tasks

 

 





 * You can assign custom formatting to the tasks in the Outline. Parameters such
   as font color or bold can be set.

Workspaces (tabs)



 * The Workspaces (or tabs) are used to store and quickly access a particular
   configuration for the selected view, additional filter, zoom, selected task
   etc.

Custom views with filtering, grouping and sorting



 * With predefined views you can filter, sort and group tasks the way you need
   it. You can use default predefined views or create your own views using
   built-in MLO advanced features for filtering, sorting and grouping your
   tasks.
   
   

Review



 * You can indicate that a certain task should be periodically reviewed. For
   example you can review a project weekly to add new tasks to it or to change
   priorities of the subtasks. When it is time for the next review this project
   is placed to the Review default view. You can open this view periodically to
   review the tasks.

Bookmarks

 

 

 

 

 * To speed up the navigation in the outline, you can set a bookmark to a task
   and then jump back to it anytime.

You can set open/closed hours on desktop and use them on mobile after sync.

 * A Context may have a schedule: specific times during which it is open or
   closed. If a Context you select as a To-Do filter is closed at the moment,
   the tasks associated with this Context will not be shown in the To-Do list.

 * Each Context may include other Contexts. This can form a hierarchy (or even a
   net) of contexts. For example Contexts "Phone" and "Internet" can be included
   to the Context "Work" as well as to the Context "Home".

 * In the Nearby view you can see the list of tasks which can be done near your
   current location.

 * You can receive alerts from MLO mobile application when you are near the

 * This view-sensitive navigation button will help you to navigate in the long
   outlines on your mobile device by finding selected task and collapsing parent

Undo/Redo



 * Use undo to revert previous changes you made in your task list.

Multiselect



 * Use multiselect to perform an action on several selected tasks at the same
   time.

Task counters for views (badges)



 * You can use counters to see how many different kinds of tasks you have in
   each view.

Input parsing



 * MLO can parse or interpret the text you enter in Inbox on mobile and in some
   text input fields on Windows. For example you can enter "in 30 min" or "next
   Friday at 2pm" in date and time pickers. In Rapid Task Entry dialog you can
   even type: "Call Bob about the party tomorrow at 3pm remind 10 min in
   advance". The parameters of the task will be converted from the text
   automatically.

Purge/Archive completed tasks



 * Archiving is a way to backup or delete old completed tasks from
   MyLifeOrganized. Depending on the configuration, completed tasks that are
   over a certain age can be moved to an archive data file, copied to an archive
   data file or deleted permanently.
   
   

Task statistics



 * You can see all statistics for your tasks: How many tasks do I have? How many
   of them did I complete yesterday? How many suspended projects do I have? How
   many tasks did I add in the past year? For these and other questions, the
   statistics feature gives the answers.

Unlimited number of files/profiles



 * You can create different data files/profiles for your tasks. You can create
   unlimited number of data files and profiles on desktop and mobile devices in
   Pro mode. Free mode will only allow 3 profiles on mobile devices.

Customize application appearance



 * You can customize the application appearance like font size and information
   layout.

 * You may need to associate a task with other related tasks in the Outline. You
   can do this by inserting links into the task notes. When you click a task
   link, the linked task is selected in the Outline.

 * Automatic Formatting uses rules to format tasks individually, based on their
   properties. For example, you may want to underline and set an icon for all
   the tasks that were created this week and contain the word "report" in the
   subject.

 * You can configure the synchronization with MS Outlook, if you want to use
   Outlook together with MyLifeOrganized in your planning.
