<strong>Hello!</strong> My husband Frank and I welcome you to The Twin Turrets Inn. And, our English Springer Spaniel, Elizabeth Queen of the Turrets, affectionately known as Lizzie, will also welcome you with her toy. Unfortunately we
are not pet friendly. Lizzie loves to receive our guests but not their pets. Thank you for understanding. Frank is the President of Boyertown's Borough Council, and I am currently serving my fifth term as Mayor. <em>Personally, I wear
many hats.</em>

<strong>I wear one kind of hat when watching The Boyertown Bears</strong> at our fantastic Bear Stadium. Bear Stadium was built in 1982 by volunteers to host the World Series of American Legion Baseball. Bear Stadium doesn't have a bad
bounce except when I throw the first pitch.

<p> As Mayor, there are other hats to wear as I also lead our fantastic <strong>Halloween Parade</strong>, our patriotic <strong>Memorial Day Parade</strong> and tap the first keg of our annual <strong>Octoberfest celebration</strong>. I
also perform wedding ceremonies. Thus I am referred to as "<strong><em>Merry Marianne the Marrying Mayor</em></strong>". </p>
<p> When I am not donning the various hats, I am In the kitchen. <strong>I don't need a hat In the kitchen, but I do need an apron and an adjustable wrench.</strong> Yes, I can do plumbing with this instrument; but mostly it is used to open
those hard to open lids. Some of you ladies can relate to that. As an innkeeper, I have truly been blessed by the most wonderful guests in the world. Some are just passing through but many of you have become more than acquaintances; we
have developed true friendships. </p>

<p> Boyertown is only ½ square mile in size and is surrounded by farms and orchards nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Oley Valley. We are within an hour of historic Valley Forge, Philadelphia and the Amish country in Lancaster
County. There is much to do so let's get started... </p>

<p> “All Aboard” the Colebrookdale Secret Valley Railroad for an exciting excursion. </p>
<p> Or you can catch a baseball game at the famous Bear Stadium. Our park hosts a rambling walking trail, Frisbee golf and a playground for all children. Boyertown is rich in history so a visit to Boyertown's Museum of Historic Vehicles
and Boyertown's Historical society is a must. Boyertown's century old State Theater provides live entertainment. Coming soon, The General Carl Spaatz National AAF Museum. </p>
<p> “Bear Fever” is contagious and it begins with historic "Townie Bear" and "Bubbles" located at the entrance to Twin Turrets. There are many other bears as you enjoy your walk along our tree lined streets and see our beautiful
architecture, unique shops, restaurants, bakeries and even a micro brewery. Our artistic community is awesome and Taylor Backes Glassblowing Studio is universally recognized. </p>

<p> Building A Better Boyertown hosts “Oktoberfest” and always has family oriented functions on third Saturdays. Other events include Pick Fest, Uke Fest and Philadelphia Avenue Street Fair. Der Belsnickel, a juried craft show, is held
Thanksgiving weekend and Boyertown's Holiday Open House Tour is the first Friday in December. </p>

<p> Boyertown has been recognized by the state of Pennsylvania for the volunteerism our folks give back to the community. Boyertown is a neat small town with a huge heart. Am I bragging? You bet I am! I am proud to serve this community.
It's a neat place to hang your hat! </p>
<p> Twin Turrets has quite a history. It's a little known fact that the house was actually built for Daniel B Boyer circa 1865. On July 4, 1876 the Boyers went to where else, but Philadelphia, to celebrate Independence Day. Apparently at
that time, turrets were becoming the fashion, thus by 1880 the Boyers added a front porch along with copper turrets. In 1891, Daniel B's family of five children was grown so Daniel B traded homes with his son Horace K, who lived at 9 E
Philadelphia Avenue. In 1988 The Twin Turrets was restored to the rich heritage it deserved. </p>

A bit roly-poly, he could add quicker than the calculators of the day. He shared the business across the street with his brother James K. He missed one day of work when he felt a bit feeble. He was then in his eighties. He was a homebody and seldom ventured more than ten miles from Boyertown. Horace died at age 83, after being hit by a car. This room features a queen size bed surrounded by handsome robust furniture. The lighting is enhanced by the plantation shutters. $124 an Evening - Accommodations">

My husband Frank and I welcome you to The Twin Turrets Inn. And, our English Springer Spaniel, Elizabeth Queen of the Turrets, affectionately known as Lizzie, will also welcome you with her toy. Unfortunately we are not pet friendly. Lizzie loves to receive our guests but not their pets. Thank you for understanding. Frank is the President of Boyertown's Borough Council, and I am currently serving my fifth term as Mayor. Personally, I wear many hats. On July 4, 1876 the Boyers went to where else, but Philadelphia, to celebrate Independence Day. Apparently at that time, turrets were becoming the fashion, thus by 1880 the Boyers added a front porch along with copper turrets. In 1891, Daniel B's family of five children was grown so Daniel B traded homes with his son Horace K, who lived at 9 E Philadelphia Avenue.
