Use of anonymized & aggregated data

At Benevity, we aim to improve the philanthropic landscape to enhance the impact
of our client’s social purpose programs. Benevity may aggregate and anonymize
data we receive to conduct analysis and gain insights into general trends, usage

identification of the individual to whom it relates. Aggregating data is the
process of combining or summarizing from multiple records, transactions or
sources to provide a broader overview or higher-level perspective. Both of these
processes are carried out with utmost care to protect your privacy and
confidentiality, and, for clarity, data that is anonymized & aggregated is not

acknowledge that, although Benevity takes steps to obtain assurances from such
causes to not (unless required by law), disclose your Personal Information
without your consent, Benevity is not responsible for that organization’s use of
such information.

disclosure is necessary to: protect our rights or comply with a judicial
proceeding, court order, law or legal process in respect of the Services or a
Benevity Site; enforce or apply this Privacy Policy, the terms of use or other
agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of a Benevity Site, its
users, corporate host or others.

applicable Benevity Site. To update a user profile, log in to the relevant

with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements (typically seven years).
Upon expiry of an appropriate retention period, bearing in mind reasonable legal

secure manner or made anonymous.

sent to you as described previously in this Privacy Policy, we offer users who
provide contact or other Personal Information a means to choose how we use the
information you provide. You may manage your receipt of non-transactional
communications and whether we share your contact information and donation data

Protecting your Personal Information is important to us. We do this by having in
place a range of appropriate technological, physical, contractual and
organizational measures to protect your Personal Information from loss, theft or
unauthorized access, disclosure or use. The only employees who are granted
access to your Personal Information are those whose duties reasonably require
such access.

Rights of European Economic Area (“EEA”), United Kingdom and California
residents

In addition, if you are a resident of the EEA, the United Kingdom or California,
you have the following data protection rights, as applicable under relevant data
protection laws:

 * If you wish to access, correct, update or request deletion (including in the
form of anonymization) of your Personal Information, you can do so at any
   time by contacting us using the contact details provided below;

controller and all requests for access to Personal Information should be
   forwarded through such controller to us;
 * Similarly, if we have collected and process your Personal Information with
your consent, then you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing
your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted
prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your Personal
Information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than
   consent;
 * You have the right to complain to the relevant regulator about our collection
and use of your Personal Information. For more information, please contact
   your relevant regulator; and
 * You may receive your Personal Information in an interoperable format or
request to have it transmitted to another organization.

We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their
data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Our
legal basis for collecting and using the Personal Information provided by our
clients to initiate workplace programs is a legitimate interests basis.  Any
information provided by any user in any other context is on a consent basis or
to perform a contract with you.

For California residents, pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act
(“CCPA”), the above applies to the Personal Information collected during the
12-month period prior to the date of the request.

For clarity, Benevity does not sell Personal Information, nor do we share
Personal Information with any third party (except those as necessary to provide
our Services).

facilitate user authentication for services, provide analytical information to
assess site performance and availability, as well as support personalizing your
online experience. We use cookies for the following purposes:

 * to facilitate secure online access so you do not need to enter your user ID
   and password again when you access the application;
 * to record your preferences;
 * to ease navigation and increase the user-friendliness of the application; and
 * to analyze the usage of the application and/or to identify the most popular
   sections.

Benevity cookies collect information that includes the date and time of your
visit, authentication identifiers, and session identifiers to store information
about your preferences or your past actions on the site. You can manage your
cookie preferences below.

We classify the use of cookies into four categories:

STRICTLY NECESSARY COOKIES

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched
off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you
which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy
preferences, logging in or filling in forms.

You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies but blocking
these cookies will prevent the site from working.

PERFORMANCE/ANALYTICS COOKIES

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and
improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the
most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site.

If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our
site and will not be able to monitor its performance.

FUNCTIONAL COOKIES

These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and
personalization. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose
services we have integrated or added to our pages.

If you do not allow these cookies then some or all of these services may not
function properly

SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING COOKIES

Marketing cookies help us track the effectiveness of our digital marketing
activities. Social media cookies are set by a range of social media services
that we have added to the site to enable you to share our content with your
friends and networks. They are capable of tracking your browser across other
sites and building up a profile of your interests. This may impact the content
and messages you see on other websites you visit. If you do not allow these
cookies you may not be able to use or see these sharing tools.

If you do not allow these cookies then some services or integrations may not
function properly

Our websites are scanned with our cookie scanning tool regularly to keep the
list updated. We also provide information on the type of cookie (first v. third
party) and the lifespan of the cookie (session v. persistent).

TYPES OF COOKIES

 * ‘Session cookie’ remain in your browser during your browser session only,
i.e., until you leave the website.
 * ‘Persistent cookies’  remain in your browser after the session (unless
   deleted by you).
 * ‘First-party’ cookies are directly stored by the website (or domain) you
visit. These cookies allow website owners to collect analytics data, remember
language settings, and perform other useful functions that provide a good
   user experience.
 * ‘Third party’ cookies are created by domains that are not the website (or
domain) that you are visiting. These are usually used related to social
media, marketing or analytics purposes and placed on a website through adding
scripts or tags. A third-party cookie is accessible on any website that loads
   the third-party server’s code.

For clarity, Benevity does not sell your Personal Information, nor do we share
Personal Information with any third party (except those as necessary to provide
our Services).  Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.

COOKIE TECHNOLOGIES

“Cookies” may refer to “http cookie”, flash cookie” (used by some applications
or website relying on Flash technology), local storage area of your internet
browser, unique identifier calculated from your internet browser characteristics
(also known as “browser fingerprinting”), or unique identifiers related to your

images (also known as web beacons) on Benevity Sites and in e-mail messages or
newsletters. These tiny electronic images assist us in determining how many
users have visited certain pages or opened messages or newsletters. We do not

Using your browser to control cookies

Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete and block cookies for a website.
Be aware that if you delete all cookies then any preferences you have set will
be lost, including the ability to opt out from cookies as this function itself
requires placement of an opt-out cookie on your device.  Guidance on how to
