FRIENDS & FAMILY DONATION

The Dorothy McElhinney Instrumental Music Program provides an opportunity for
growth and enrichment unmatched by any non-musical discipline. It encourages
each student to work toward his/her fullest potential and challenges him/her
toward maximum possible intellectual and creative growth. Membership in an
organization such as this one is a remarkable opportunity to both work as a team
and gain individual recognition, to experience leadership and follow the lead of
others, and to learn discipline, cooperation and responsibility while at the
same time engaging in a creative activity. Annual budget cuts to education have
consistently hurt the Arts programs in our schools. As a result, we need to
raise a minimum of $60,000 each year to provide instruments, music, equipment,
travel expenses, uniforms, props, festival and competition fees, and much more
for our deserving students. Our program boasts some of the finest middle school
students in Riverside County. Most of our members carry an advanced class
schedule and are very involved with community service projects. Our Music
Booster Parent Organization sponsor numerous fundraisers scheduled throughout
the year; however, sponsors are needed to supplement the best education for the
students.
