ORGANIZATION CONTACT

The organization contact must be employed at the organization that owns the
domains you entered on the previous page. We will verify this individual.

TECHNICAL CONTACT

The technical contact receives the SSL/TLS certificate when it is issued, and is
notified about certificate renewals and updates. The technical contact is
usually responsible for the daily operation of the web server where you'll be
installing the SSL/TLS certificate. If your server is hosted by a third-party or
ISP, someone from that organization should be listed as the technical contact.

SUBSCRIBER

The subscriber is the individual who wishes to sign and certify documents on an
as needed basis. Examples of this are workflow approvals, legal documents,
contracts and letters. The subscriber's first and last name appear in the
signature along with their email address.

Select this option to include the subscriber's company or organization name in
the digital signature.

ORGANIZATION

The organization contact is needed if the person(s) using the certificate wishes
to sign and certify documents on behalf of a group. They are intended for ad hoc
use. For example, a sales department may decide to sign its proposals or RFP
responses. These certificates display the organizational group name (e.g.,
Billing Group, Marketing Dept., ABC Co.) and email address in the signature.

HIGHER AUTHORITY

The higher authority will be asked to confirm the identity of the other
contacts. A higher authority can be a corporate executive, legal counsel,
company director, or the direct manager of the organization or technical
contact.

PASSPHRASE

The passphrase must be at least 8 characters in length and contain 1 upper-case
letter, 1 lower-case letter, 1 numeric character and 1 special character
(*&^%$@!()+='/:).

CONTRACT AMOUNT

The contract amount is your purchase limit. Be aware that unused amounts will
not be refunded.

EMAIL

Entrust sends instructions to an email address listed in your domain record(s)
and attempts to send the email to the administrator, admin, postmaster,
hostmaster, and webmaster email addresses for your domain(s). Follow the
instructions to confirm that you control the domain(s).

WEB SERVER

Entrust creates a file for you to download that contains a random value. Upload
the file to the specified Target Location on your web server(s). Entrust checks
the specified location for the file to confirm that you control the domain.

DNS

Entrust creates a random value that you add to the DNS records for your
domain(s). Entrust checks your DNS records for the value to confirm that you
control the domain.

domain validation options require some action on your part to prove domain
ownership or control. We will advise you about the self-service domain
