ADVERTISEMENT 6 Stories continue below OPINION 1. SILVER THREADS: DEER ME! WHAT A GREAT TIME WE HAD We were having such a great time recently that the local herd of deer decided that they wanted to be included in the Irish shindig at the Silver Threads Seniors Club in Petawawa. We had just feasted on Irish stew and assorted salads, plus dessert and tea and coffee, when someone sang out that deer were outside the window. Of course, just like the young at heart that we all are these days, we sprang to the windows to see what was the matter and low and behold a herd of deer were outside, probably listening to the Irish music playing and smelling the aroma of the delicious food that was served. It was a highlight to the successful evening that was our latest dinner and dance held for St. Patrick’s Day. It was a fun time to be out with friends and family, dancing and singing the evening away. Barbara Bailey 5 hours ago Column 2.
