For Life Sea Turtle Conservation Project, an 18-year-old labor of love preserving the life of this endangered species. We are still very involved in the preservation of sea turtles, and we welcome volunteers for any period
of time. We have now expanded into a precious nature retreat hostel for both travelers and volunteers alike.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Not your usual idea of a hostel, and sitting directly on the edge of active untouched jungle and a pristine and secluded beach, this hidden sanctuary will disconnect anyone from a fast-paced
and over-crowded life, and get rest in the renewal that comes from connection with the abundance, simplicity and purity of nature, and oneself.</p>

<p>This is an amazing place to stay and find peace. We were there with a group of 18 people. Don Ricardo and the whole group of hosts were really warm-hearted and welcoming. The rooms were simple but clean. They
support a turtle project two beaches away with the earnings of the Hostel, which don Ricardo and his partner are in charge of. The food was really good and really typical Costa Rican. They organized some good tours
for us, like fishing and some unforgettable horseback-riding trips. They also did two campfires for us on the beach at night. We will never forget that nightsky, the rides with the horses and these people. I highly
recommend you visit this hidden treasure in Osa. Thanks a lot for an incredible experience!!!</p>

<p>I can't recommend Life For Life (and the people who make it such an incredible place!) enough. If you're looking for a really authentic experience in Costa Rica, away from the tourism, filled with nature and
wildlife, this is the place to go. Ricardo, Mar and the whole team treated us as their own. We were welcomed with open arms: we searched for tropical fruits, pointed out toucans, macaws, monkeys, you name it,
advised on activities to do, brushed up our Spanish... The food was fantastic, authentic, and fresh - we once made an off-hand comment about an avocado tree and like magic, our next meal was filled with fresh
avocado. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. The accommodations are basic, but you'll spend little to no time in your room.</p>

relaxing in a hammock as exotic birds and monkeys stop by, though hanging out at the beach, hiking and visiting waterfalls are also popular. Dorms are basic but adequate, and there's no wi-fi whatsoever, which is
pretty fantastic. Turtle-project volunteers are accepted to excavate nests, rebury eggs, input data, patrol the beach, do hatchery maintenance and participate in turtle releases."</p>

<p>Lots of monkeys, reptiles, colorful birds, jungle and beautiful coasts make Life For Life Hostel a perfect place for nature lovers. The accommodation is built up with a few cabins, each consisting of bunkbeds and
a small bathroom. The accommodation is simple, but clean and absolutely sufficient. We enjoyed typical Costa Rican meals, which were always very tasty and fresh. We stayed there in April for one week with a group
of 20 people and Ricardo, the family, the team and the volunteers of Life For Life hostel made it a very special time for all of us that we would not want to have missed. Pura Vida!</p>

<p>Absolutely loved staying at Life For Life Hostel. Such kind people who were so welcoming to us. The property is one of those few places in the world where you can totally disconnect and just see nature at its
finest. It is located on a stunning beach, and the gardens surrounding the dorms and tents are incredible with fruit growing everywhere, with awesome wildlife. Loved the cooking. We took a day hike from Drake Bay
to stay 1 night and stayed 5. Would go again in a heartbeat. Thank you to the family and team for the stay. It was inspiring.</p>

Located on a remote beach in Drake Bay, on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica, Life
For Life Hostel began as a lodging location for volunteers of the Life For Life
Sea Turtle Conservation Project, an 18-year-old labor of love preserving the
life of this endangered species. We are still very involved in the preservation
of sea turtles, and we welcome volunteers for any period of time. We have now
expanded into a precious nature retreat hostel for both travelers and volunteers
alike.
Not your usual idea of a hostel, and sitting directly on the edge of active
untouched jungle and a pristine and secluded beach, this hidden sanctuary will
disconnect anyone from a fast-paced and over-crowded life, and get rest in the
renewal that comes from connection with the abundance, simplicity and purity of
nature, and oneself.
AMAZING BIODIVERSITY
Costa Rica is home to 5% of all the world's species of animals, and the Osa
peninsula, just 35 miles long and 20 miles wide, is itself home to half of all
the species in Costa Rica.
Are 13 major ecosystems, and the Osa Peninsula is home to over 700 species of
trees, 117 species of reptiles and amphibians, 365 species of birds and over 120
species of mammals. The Osa Peninsula holds possibly the highest natural
diversity on the planet, inspiring National Geographic magazine to describe it
as "the most biologically intense place on earth." Scarlet macaws fly freely
about the town and the enormous humpbacked whales swim close to its shores. It
is an extraordinarily special and one of kind place.
Whether volunteering or not, travelers from all over the world come to
experience the ease, fun, and peace.. the LIFE and LOVE of nature available in
this remote paradise.

Lots of monkeys, reptiles, colorful birds, jungle and beautiful coasts make Life
For Life Hostel a perfect place for nature lovers. The accommodation is built up
with a few cabins, each consisting of bunkbeds and a small bathroom. The
accommodation is simple, but clean and absolutely sufficient. We enjoyed typical
Costa Rican meals, which were always very tasty and fresh. We stayed there in
April for one week with a group of 20 people and Ricardo, the family, the team
and the volunteers of Life For Life hostel made it a very special time for all
of us that we would not want to have missed. Pura Vida!

Absolutely loved staying at Life For Life Hostel. Such kind people who were so
welcoming to us. The property is one of those few places in the world where you
can totally disconnect and just see nature at its finest. It is located on a
stunning beach, and the gardens surrounding the dorms and tents are incredible
with fruit growing everywhere, with awesome wildlife. Loved the cooking. We took
a day hike from Drake Bay to stay 1 night and stayed 5. Would go again in a
heartbeat. Thank you to the family and team for the stay. It was inspiring.
