Whether you’re new to VSP or a member for life, it’s important to see an in-network provider to get the most value from your VSP benefits. As a VSP member, you’ll have access to private practice, retail locations, and online in-network choices—making it easy to find an in-network provider near you. WHAT DOES ‘IN-NETWORK’ MEAN? Staying in-network is important for many reasons, but what does it really mean? “In-network” simply means you’ll be seeing a doctor who has contracted with VSP to provide you with lower out-of-pocket costs and an easy, streamlined experience. No claim forms or ID cards are needed when you visit a VSP network provider. Just tell them you have VSP—we’ll take care of the rest! Pro tip: While some locations may say they “take VSP insurance,” that doesn’t always mean that they are “in” the VSP network. If a provider asks you to submit a claim form, they may be out-of-network. FIND AND SAVE WITH AN IN-NETWORK DOCTOR With thousands of providers in our network, we have made finding, choosing, and seeing an in-network VSP doctor as easy as possible with our Find A Doctor locator. You can search for a private practice doctor or retail location close to your home or work or expand your search to include online appointment scheduling, extended hours (available at VSP Premier EdgeTM locations!), and even special services like sports vision or laser vision care services. In-network savings really add up! Not only is finding an in-network doctor easy, but you’ll also save an annual average of $4631 when you visit a VSP in-network doctor.
