   Welcome to the home of Forever Families Through Adoption, Inc. My name is Joy
   Goldstein, and FFTA is a New York authorized and Connecticut-licensed,
   non-profit 501c3, adoption placement agency and resource center located in
   the Rye Brook/Port Chester area of Westchester County only 35 minutes outside
   of New York City.  FFTA was founded by my husband, Michael and myself in
   2007, recognizing that every child has the right to grow up in a loving,
   nurturing, secure and forever home.  
   
   After more than 25 years of helping to create "forever families" through
   adoption and over 2,500 successful placements through Michael’s law firm, we
   had earned a reputation within the adoption community for unsurpassed
   personalized service and operational excellence.
   
   As a three-time adoptive parent, I feel that I am uniquely qualified to help
   guide prospective birth and adoptive parents through the adoption process and
   am confident that the committed and capable staff I have assembled at FFTA of
   adoptive parents, social workers, attorneys and adoptees, will help to create
   many forever families for years to come.
   
   Whether client or colleague, you become a member of the FFTA family the
   moment we begin to work together. As such, FFTA pledges to be available to
   you so that no matter what, when or where your need, we will be there for
   you. We will continue to commit ourselves to being the best in our field, and

 * MISSION STATEMENT
   
   Forever Families Through Adoption, Inc. is a non-profit adoption placement
   agency and resource center founded by social workers and adoptive parents
   with the belief that every child eligible for permanent adoption, regardless
   of racial or ethnic background, or physical or emotional challenge, has the
   right to grow up in a loving, nurturing, secure, and forever home.
   
   Inspired by our experience and many years of service in the adoption field
   and community, it is this agency’s goal to unite children in need with their
   forever families and to help keep “harder to place” children out of the state
   system through domestic and international adoptions.
   
   FFTA seeks to educate the community about adoption and related parenting
   issues; and to promote a positive
   experience for everyone involved through the counseling, education and
   support we provide to our clients.
   
   FFTA is committed to treating all persons with respect, dignity and
   compassion and welcomes all families regardless of race, religion, gender
   identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, age,
   nationality or disability.
   
   FFTA will ensure, to the best of our ability, that the dream of building and

WHAT'S NEW AT FFTA?

Adoption Tax Credit in 2022

The IRS announced the Adoption Tax Credit for 2022 and the maximum credit
allowed for qualified adoption expenses is NOW $14,890.

The credit begins to phase out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income
(MAGI) in excess of $223,410, and it's completely phased out at $263,410 or
more. Please contact your TAX accountant or TAX advisor for more specific
guidance.

The rainbow flag endorses gay rights without making a statement about the
person- it's an all-purpose symbol which can be used by anyone regardless of
their own sexual orientation. This aspect has also made the rainbow flag useful
for displaying in businesses which are "gay friendly," but which may not
necessarily be owned or operated by a gay or bisexual person. This kind of
equality and all- inclusiveness is what the gay rights movement strives for.
