WE ARE THE SCOTTISH HARP SOCIETY OF AMERICA

WE LOVE SCOTTISH HARP AND IT'S MUSIC

WHO WE ARE

The Scottish Harp Society of America is a non-profit 501(c)3 educational
organization dedicated to the Scottish harp, the clarsach, and its music both
ancient and modern.

Members of the Society include musicians, harp makers, and people who simply
enjoy listening to the Scottish harp. Membership in the Scottish Harp Society of
America is open to all.

WHAT WE DO

— KILT AND HARP

Our award winning quarterly journal Kilt and Harp brings us together by sharing
news, photos, information, music, and more.  K&H represents all the good our
community of Scottish harpers brings to each other and the world. Members Only.

— COMPETITIONS

SHSA sanctioned competitions occur at Games throughout the year.  Sanctioning
ensures that the competition will have trained, experienced judges using our
exclusive approach to judging which focuses on building Tradition Bearers and
fostering community.

— PARTNERSHIPS

SHSA partners with other like minded organizations to support and grow Scottish
Harp around the world.  We are pleased to have the Learned Kindred of Currie as
the Title Sponsor of the US National Scottish Harp Championship.  We work to
ensure the students can learn from Tradition Bearers by partnering with the Ohio
Scottish Arts School to bring well known and respected teachers from Scotland
each summer.
