Members of the Society include musicians, harp makers, and people who simply enjoy listening to the Scottish harp. Membership in the Scottish Harp Society of America is open to all. WHAT WE DO — KILT AND HARP Our award winning quarterly journal Kilt and Harp brings us together by sharing news, photos, information, music, and more. K&H represents all the good our community of Scottish harpers brings to each other and the world. Members Only. — COMPETITIONS SHSA sanctioned competitions occur at Games throughout the year. Sanctioning ensures that the competition will have trained, experienced judges using our exclusive approach to judging which focuses on building Tradition Bearers and fostering community. Competition Information — PARTNERSHIPS SHSA partners with other like minded organizations to support and grow Scottish Harp around the world. We are pleased to have the Learned Kindred of Currie as the Title Sponsor of the US National Scottish Harp Championship. We work to ensure the students can learn from Tradition Bearers by partnering with the Ohio Scottish Arts School to bring well known and respected teachers from Scotland each summer.
