I WON A HEALTHYWAGER PREVIOUSLY BUT REGAINED SOME WEIGHT. CAN I PARTICIPATE
AGAIN?

Yes! You can participate again, but will receive a smaller profit due to the
Yo-Yo Rule.



WHAT IS THE YO-YO RULE?

This rule applies only to past winners of the HealthyWager Challenge. If you’re
starting at a higher weight than your weight at the end of your winning
HealthyWager challenge, the profit level of your current prize will be reduced
compared to your previous challenge. 

Note: The Yo-Yo Rule applies ONLY to the HealthyWager Challenge.




THE YO-YO RULE APPLIES TO ME. NOW WHAT?

The Yo-Yo Rule causes a downward profit adjustment for your subsequent
HealthyWager. You CAN now participate again! To take advantage you must register
with the same account you used previously so that our software knows to adjust
your profit. The prize calculator will provide you with an accurate reflection
of your current profit opportunity, based on the terms you entered. If you like
the profit, you can make the bet and participate as you did previously.

Remember, the Yo-Yo Rule applies only to HealthyWager challenges. It does not
apply to Fast Track, Individual Jackpot or Team challenges!




IF THE YO-YO RULE APPLIES TO ME, CAN I TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PROMOTIONS SUCH AS
PRIZE BOOSTS?

Yes! If you receive an email with a prize boost you may take advantage of it,
unless explicitly excluded. This includes prize boosts and referral boosts. Note
that referral boosts are only permitted for referring participants new to
HealthyWage. Please read our Referral FAQ for additional details and
restrictions.



CAN I WIN MULTIPLE TIMES?

Previous winners are welcome to participate (and win!) multiple HealthyWagers,
as long as they are losing “new” weight (meaning they haven’t regained weight
lost in prior winning HealthyWagers). Those whose subsequent HealthyWagers fall
under the Yo-Yo Rule are eligible to win only one additional time. This means
you can only win a HealthyWager prize twice for losing some/all of the same
weight you’ve lost before.

For example: Joshua wins his first HealthyWager with an ending weight of 235lbs.
He registers for a second HealthyWager at 234lbs and wins at 200lbs. He then
registers for a third HealthyWager with a starting weight of 200lbs and wins at
180lbs. This is permitted. Go Joshua!

Now let’s say Brian wins a HealthyWager with an ending weight of 200lbs. He
registers for a second HealthyWager at 220lbs and has his prize adjusted as part
of the Yo-Yo Rule. He then wins at 190lbs. He later registers for a third
HealthyWager at 215lbs. Brian would not be eligible to win again, since he
already won a previous HealthyWager where the Yo-Yo Rule applied. In this case,
his third challenge would be disqualified.

Ineligible to win again? Remember, the Yo-Yo Rule does not apply to Fast Track,
Individual Jackpot or Team Jackpot challenges!



ARE THERE ANY EXCEPTIONS OR TIME LIMITS FOR WHEN THE YO-YO RULE WILL NO LONGER
APPLY?

No, it is a lifetime rule and applies to all participants regardless of
circumstance.



WILL THE RULE APPLY IF I REGISTER UNDER A DIFFERENT ACCOUNT?

Yes. It is a violation of our services agreement to create a secondary account.
Your account will be suspended and your challenge disqualified without refund.
All winners will need to verify their identity and it is considered fraud to
violate this rule. This is in place to ensure prizes for real winners. 



WHY DOES THE YO-YO RULE EXIST?

Our focus is on long-term, sustainable weight loss. We do not want to provide an
incentive to lose weight, regain it, and lose it again. We understand, however,
that long-term weight loss is hard and, for many different reasons, the weight
sometimes creeps back. For this reason, we have created a way for previous
HealthyWager winners to come back for a second wager if they’ve gained some (or
all) of their weight back. We have adjusted the profit level so that there is a
much smaller financial incentive to lose the weight a subsequent time. However,
you will still take advantage of the structure of the HealthyWager and the
online community and mobile apps to accomplish your goal and will be eligible
for a smaller profit at the end of your challenge.
