Production Merchandiser Role & Responsibilities

UK Creative Services seeks a Production Merchandiser to join our Product
Development and Merchandising Team. Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, with
your previous experience in a fast-paced entrepreneurial retail environment you
will contribute to building our exciting portfolio of brands in our
international duty-free stores. This will be an excellent opportunity for you if
you feel you will enjoy working as part of a small, flexible, collaborative team
in this Owner/Founder led business. Our vision is to set a new benchmark in
airport retail.

Responsibilities:

· Product development - manage the product life cycle from the initial product
development to final product delivery. Working closely with suppliers to develop
and monitor quality of 1st, Pre-Production, Production samples through to bulk
production.

· Supplier relationships - build, maintain and grow all supplier relationships
whilst discussing production issues and looking for ways to optimise the
business and improve terms.

· Sourcing - work with the Merchandise Manager and wider team to improve the
offering in response to customer demand and business requirements.

· Data accuracy – Ensure the database is maintained and invoice records are
accurately maintained

· Shipping & logistics - organise and manage the shipment process to maximise
efficiencies through to delivery, including preparation of invoices and packing
documentation.

· Customs- work with the Customs & Clearance Executive and other Merchandising
colleagues to ensure the correct documentation is prepared ahead of shipments
landing.

Personal skills:

· Flexible approach to working within the team, managing evolving
responsibilities. Open minded and willing to learn.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Able to work with cost, retail margin formulas to
manage and maintain accurate records.

· Relationship building - develop strong working relationships with all members
of the team in London and Internationally and our suppliers.

· Communication skills - contribute to the excellent communication needed with
our suppliers and between the London and International teams with the goal of
achieving a ‘one team’ approach.

· Support the business vision to create the ‘recipe’ and commercial template for
growth led by the CEO from our trading location/s.

Requirements for the role:

· A proven track record in production merchandising role in a fast- paced
entrepreneurial retail environment. Experience in a duty-free business would be
an advantage, but is not essential.

· Familiarity with managing product life cycle and understanding of production
and shipping processes.

· A collaborative team player with excellent listening, communication and people
skills.

· Demonstrated ability to maintain perspective on the vision and big picture
while managing the day to day demands of a growing business.

· Adaptable, open minded and prepared to adopt a different approach to
contribute to setting a new benchmark in airport retail.

· Comfortable operating in a flat structure, working closely with the
Owner/Founder.

· Willing to travel periodically as required to visit our locations in the UK
and Internationally.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
