As our world's population ages, the prevalence of chronic diseases rises all over the globe. It is now more important than ever before that we continue to look for new ways of treating and curing these diseases. Illumina, the global market leader in genome sequencing, understands just that. Its focus on genomics is opening up new possibilities of predicting, diagnosing and treating diseases more precisely and personally. Since setting up here in 2008, Singapore has become Illumina's largest global manufacturing site. It is also the only facility in the world that manufactures a full suite of products for its next-gen DNA sequencing machine, the MiniSeq System.
