COLLABORATIVE ENGINEERING WITH 3D PRODUCT ARCHITECT AND PRODUCT RELEASE ENGINEER



Getting a product to market isn’t easy.  To be efficient, it takes a
collaborative effort in all phases of development. The 3DEXPERIENCE Works
portfolio enables you to unify your product development process into a single
source of truth that streamlines your development and drives efficiency – from
concept to release.

One example of how we saved time was using the Product Release Engineer role,
which is magic because it organizes all of the data and specific details for the
production in a format that links it to all of the drawings and supporting
information. Without it, preparing a product design for release to manufacturing
used to take a week or two. With the Product Release Engineer role, it takes
about half an hour.

Managing data in the cloud facilitates design reviews and the sharing of data,
and also makes it very easy to collaborate between departments, such as using
the Product Release Engineer role to collaborate on BOM [bill of materials] work
with the production department.
