Our client is seeking a Marine Fitter/Technician to join their team. The ideal
candidate will have a strong technical background in maintenance and repair, as
well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

This opportunity would suit someone who is looking for a long-term, stable and
progressive career. As our client is willing to provide a long-term commitment
to you that will include training and on-going support to broaden your
experience and knowledge.

industries including Defence (Navy), Resources (Oil and Gas and Mining),
Industrial, Construction, Transport and more. Their culture is one of

Role and Responsibilities

As a Marine Fitter/Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance,
repair, and overhaul of various water related systems across a diverse range of
applications. This includes, but not restricted to; wastewater vacuum systems,
sewage treatment plants, reverse osmosis plants, associated valves, pumps
pipework and other marine equipment, as well as the commissioning and servicing
of these systems. You will also be responsible for running jobs on site and
maintaining and controlling all relevant documents and processes. There may also
be the requirement for short periods of offshore or overseas work.

In addition to your technical skills, you should have good communication skills
and the ability to work within a team. You should also be punctual and have a
strong attention to detail. A positive and proactive approach to safety is also
essential.

You will be joining a dynamic and busy team focused on providing quality
engineering and maintenance services, who have a strong desire to grow and build
on existing customer and supplier relationships.

Your Skills and Experience

* Relevant Trade Certification/Qualifications

* Minimum 3 years of post-trade experience

* A background in Defence and/or Marine Industry - highly advantageous but not
essential

* The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications

* A high level of problem-solving skills

* Good communication skills and ability to work within a team

* Punctuality and attention to detail

* Positive and proactive approach to safety

* National Police Clearance

* White Card

* Current Driver's License

* Long-term commitment to the company

* Australian Citizenship or Permanent Resident
