WELCOME TO LUMIA BUG DISCOVERY!

Thank you for your participation in this critical phase of development! We
appreciate your continued confidentiality, as well as your patience, as we race
to produce the world’s first wearable device capable of tracking changes in the
blood flow to your head.

Please use this resource to get familiar with your new Lumia, find
troubleshooting tips for common issues, and review our “known issues” for the
device and the app.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:

Charging

Right now, Lumia takes a 10 second reading about every 3 minutes. To enable this
recording frequency, Lumia needs to charge in the Light Station every other
night. Soon, we will have a stand detection feature that triggers continuous 5
minute recordings. When this is available, we will increase Lumia’s 3 minute
recording frequency back up to 10 minutes to enable a 3+ day battery life.

Keep Lumia Dry

The prototype units are still not shower or water safe. Please keep your Lumia
device dry. Place it in the Carry Case or Light Station during showers, bathing,
swimming, hair appointments, or if you need to travel through heavy rain.

Keep Lumia Safe

When it’s not in your ear, put Lumia in the Light Station to charge or in the
Carry Case to store and transport. Lumia is small and interesting to pets or
kids. Lumia might lose position while changing clothes, doing skincare, or
removing earbuds, so take care.

There are several known issues for our system that we are working diligently to
resolve! Please familiarize yourself with these issues below. We will update
these issues regularly.

Known Issues:

For some members, Flow Index can have noisy artifacts that make it hard to
recognize important trends. We’re working on algorithm improvements to make it
clearer for you.

If your blood pressure goes below 80mmHg Systolic, Flow Index may not reflect
Flow decreases as much as it should based on previous tilt table tests. We are
working on a fix for this.

Flow Index during heart rates below 50 BPM is not yet well understood, so don't
rely on it. This may include Flow Index data during sleep.

A fully charged Earpiece resting in the Light Station may collect fake data. If
you see unusual data when your Earpiece was in the Light Station, disregard that
time period.

We noticed some minor timing discrepancies between how data is collected
compared to how data is displayed. It might mean other heart rate devices might
not match Lumia timestamps perfectly. We’re working on a fix, but for now, focus
on the bigger patterns.

Your data may not auto-refresh on each page as you might expect. Also, Home Page
pull-to-refresh doesn’t work reliably. Make sure to pull-to-refresh on the
Moments Page to make sure you’re looking at the latest data!

Average Flow Index values for previous days on the Home Page incorrectly show as
0.

Graph only displays heart rates between 50 and 150 BPM. Lumia records Heart
Rates from 35BPM and 220BPM, but the chart does not yet show it. Charting will
be improved!
