OUR STORY

Step is a new media company with a suite of virtual and in-person events,
podcasts, and newsletters for the tech savvy cross-generational audience in MENA
and emerging markets. Step started out as a series of workshops and small
gatherings. Step's events bring the most influential tech and digital
personalities on stage and draws attendance from hundreds of startups,
exhibiting tech companies and brands, and a lively experience with entertainment
and satellite events.

STEP 2014

More than 750 entrepreneurs, innovators, and tech enthusiasts came together for
a day of networking and knowledge sharing in Dubai.


STEP 2013

Held at The Fridge in Al Serkal Avenue, 250+ Ad & Digital Agency Directors,
Marketing Directors, Tech Entrepreneurs, IT Directors, CRM, and Brand Managers
from different fields explored, experienced, and debated cutting-edge global and
regional trends.


STEP 2012

In 2012, Step started as a 100-person event for entrepreneurs in the first
co-working space in the UAE.


STEP 2023

Step Conference 2023 reached new heights by introducing a sixth content track
called "Earth." bringing the total to 6 tracks. Over 400 global startups,
hundreds of investors, and 8,000+ attendees celebrated tech and innovation.


STEP SAUDI 2022

Step Saudi 2022 expanded into a 2-day event, offering participants a unique
chance to explore Saudi's tech and startup scene with notable and prominent
founders, leaders, and experts joining to showcase their successful tech
journeys.


STEP 2022

After 2 years of the pandemic, Step Conference returned stronger and better. We
celebrated our 10th anniversary by gathering the tech and startup ecosystem
after a long wait under one roof.


STEP ANYWHERE 2021

Step Anywhere 2021 brought together a global audience of startups, investors,
digital enthusiasts, brands, and more over 3 days online.


STEP SAUDI 2020

Step hosted the 2nd edition of Step Saudi Virtually in November 2020. The 2-days
event featured multiple tracks, startup programs, exhibiting tech companies, and
a speaker line-up of influencers from the Saudi ecosystem.


STEP ANYWHERE 2020

Adapting to the virtual realm, Step embraced the challenges of the pandemic by
launching Step Anywhere, delivering a dynamic online event, and connecting
global participants through interactive sessions and virtual networking
opportunities.

Themed “The World in Dubai”, Step Conference 2020 gathered 8000+ attendees, 300+
global startups, and 200 + speakers for 2 days of a rich program of talks on the
latest in financial technology, digital media, future technologies, startups &
more.


STEP SAUDI 2019

After 7 years of scaling in Dubai, Step launched in Saudi in 2019 aiming to be
the new home to the best entrepreneurs, creatives, and digital enthusiasts in
the Kingdom.


STEP 2019

Step Conference 2019 scaled new heights, gathering 6000+ attendees, more than
250 startups showcasing, and featuring renowned speakers, groundbreaking
startups, and in-depth discussions across 4 sub-conferences.


STEP 2018

Step 2018 marked the dawn of a new location and Strategic Partnership with Dubai
Internet City. For 2 days Step descended on Dubai Internet City Lakes and AUD,
bringing the festival to the region’s biggest technology and media hub.

Step Conference 2017 cemented its position as a leading tech and startup event,
hosting industry experts, investors, and thought leaders from around the world
to explore the future of technology and business.
