Whether you use your dining table to serve family dinners, for homework, as your
professional workspace, or for all of the above, choosing the right size and
shape table will make all the difference. And if you’ve done your homework, the
search for your perfect table can be fun!
The ideal table depends on both the size of your dining space and how you plan
to use it. If you regularly entertain guests or host holiday gatherings, a
larger rectangle table that accommodates more people might be the best choice.
For smaller families, more casual get-togethers, or in an eat-in kitchen, a
round or square table can provide a more intimate feel. Keep in mind that the
seating flexibility at a round table (especially one with a pedestal base) means
you can add seats without anyone being caught on a corner.
Another approach to flexible seating is an extendable dining table with leaves.
Available in round, square, and rectangular shapes, extendable dining tables
offer the greatest adaptability, allowing you to add additional seats when
