The Associate will  support the compliance team in fulfilling the legal and
regulatory requirements of a German financial institution. The independent
execution of control actions, cooperation in the further development of the
transaction monitoring system and the evaluation of individual cases are part of
the daily tasks. Participation in projects and international working groups on
compliance-related topics is also planned.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): 

 * Monitoring of controls to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and
   other criminal acts, including analysis of the risk situation in accordance
   with Section 25 h (1) KWG
 * Assistance in conducting regular training and briefings on typologies,
   current methods and obligations to prevent money laundering and terrorist
   financing and other criminal activities
 * Participation in the submission of suspicious activity reports to the Money
   Laundering Prevention Authority
 * Supporting communication with the authorities
 * Participation in the management of the various compliance functions (in
   particular MaRisk compliance, money laundering prevention and central office)
 * Assistance in carrying out control actions
 * Support for management reporting

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

 * 2+ years experience within Compliance and AML at a Financial Services or
   Technology company financial institution, fintech, or consulting firm.
 * Relevant knowledge of the administrative regulations of BaFin, etc. as well
   as legal requirements and supervisory regulations
 * Independent and responsible way of working
 * Strong analytical and conceptual skills
 * Distinctive team player qualities, ability to deal with conflict,
   communication and consulting skills as well as reliability
 * Persuasiveness and strong communication skills
