   The bi-partisan USITC Commission is comprised of six Commissioners who are
   nominated by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
   Administrative Law Judges
   Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) biographies and photos
   
   Administrative Law Judges conduct the trial phase of Commission
   investigations under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 1337).
   They rule on motions during the trial stage and, following the trial, make an
   initial determination as to whether a violation of section 337 exists.

   Import Injury
   Antidumping (AD), Countervailing Duty (CVD) and Safeguard Investigations
   
   Investigations of market injury to U.S. domestic industry by foreign
   companies due to product dumping and/or subsidization under Sections 701 or
   731 under Title VII of the Tariff Act of 1930 or injury due to substantially
   increase imports under sections 201 or 202 of the Trade Act of 1974 or
   section 302 of the NAFTA Implementation Act.
   General Factfinding
   Current general fact-finding investigations being conducted by the Offices of
   Economics and of Industries.
   
   The USITC conducts investigations on matters involving international trade
   and industry competitiveness. These investigations often concern the likely
   impact of changes in trade policy such as trade agreements on the U.S.
   economy, industries, and workers or provide assessments of U.S. industries.

   intellectual property rights infringement, including patent, copyright and
   trademarks, and other forms of unfair competition involving imported products
